Remedy Entertainment's strange, live-action video series celebrating the PC release of Death Rally has concluded with one last video, filled with awkward dance moves and lots of fire. Now available on Steam, Death Rally is on sale until August 10 for the promotional price of $6.99 – down from $9.99.

Remedy Entertainment has finally launched the PC version of its Death Rally remake on Steam, available at a 15% discount until next Friday, bringing the price down to $8.49. Death Rally first debuted on PC in 1996 before being reborn for iOS devices in 2011 and on Android earlier this year. There's also a new trailer, which we've posted above. We wouldn't take the closing tag line "This is no Sunday drive" to heart, though. We've played the mobile version of Death Rally on Sunday plenty of times and everything seemed to work out fine.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare is hitting Steam and GOG on Tuesday, May 22, and it's probably going to look a bit like the images in the gallery below, but with more 3D rendering and fewer "happy little trees" brush strokes. These concept images lay out the beginnings of a few key scenes in American Nightmare, along with the hatching of a few creepy crawlies and (much) larger foes.%Gallery-155719%

In light of this week's announcement of Alan Wake's American Nightmare coming to PC on May 22, the marketing minds at GOG have discounted the original Alan Wake and are promising discounts on pre-orders for Remedy's follow-up. Alan Wake is priced at $14.99 until 8:59pm GMT on May 15, while American Nightmare is $13.49 – or, if you already own Alan Wake or purchase both games at once, $11.24.For the rest of this weekend, GOG is slashing prices on 1C Company's line of classics, which includes Space Rangers, Star Wolves, Fantasy Wars and Fantasy Brigade: Star Battles in Space. Each is half-off until May 14 at 3:59am GMT.... Okay, we may have made that last one up.

[Update] Remedy has revealed to Joystiq that Alan Wake's American Nightmare will be released on both Steam and Good Old Games on May 22. Alan Wake is currently available on Steam for 50% off as part of its mid-week madness special.[Original Story] It would seem Alan Wake isn't finished giving gamers nightmares. A product page has appeared on Steam for Alan Wake's American Nightmare, revealing that the previously XBLA-exclusive adventure is coming to PC.Remedy confirmed to Joystiq the game will hit PC on May 22.In April, American Nightmare appeared on the Steam registry, indicating a PC release was imminent. Based on the product description, it doesn't appear that the PC version will feature any new content. American Nightmare is currently available for pre-order on Steam at 10% off its regular $15 price point.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare will soon manifest on PC, if you believe the notes written down in the Steam registry. Discovered by DSOGaming, the registry information reveals that Mr. Wake's latest adventure is on the path to a Steam launch – unless it's just the devious Mr. Scratch messing with PC gamers. It's worth pointing out that the Steam registry is exactly how the first indications of the original Alan Wake making its way to PC came to light. The plot thickens.

Remember back in October when it was rumored that Alan Wake 2 was in production for the next Xbox? While we still can't confirm Alan Wake 2, we now know that Remedy is indeed hiring for the next generation of consoles. The developer has posted the hiring notice in the Alan Wake community site, stating that Remedy is "looking for world-class talent to work on an unannounced project targeted at future generation consoles."The fact that the notice was posted on the Alan Wake site could be a hint as to what the next project will be, though it's important to note that the site also hosts forums for Remedy's other games, including American Nightmare, Death Rally and the first two Max Payne games. Still, Remedy has made it quite clear that there will be more Alan Wake, so a next gen entry to the series is definitely a possibility.Speaking of Alan Wake, you know Joystiq has exclusive, never-before-seen episodes of Night Springs, right?

Remedy Entertainment and Nordic Games have snagged Legacy Interactive to distribute the boxed PC version of Alan Wake in North America and will begin shipping the title on April 3. This deal took some careful planning, it appears, as Remedy previously extended the Steam collector's edition launch deal for an extra week while North American fans waited for a physical launch announcement.Similarly to the Steam version, the boxed PC edition of Alan Wake includes two DLC packs, The Writer and The Signal, and supports stereoscopic 3D and multiple screens.

While Remedy has locked down a retail partner for the boxed release of Alan Wake in Europe, a North American deal still hasn't been worked out. Because of this, Remedy has decided to extend the availability of the Alan Wake collector's edition on Steam for another week. The collector's edition includes everything in the standard edition -- both DLC episodes, The Signal and The Writer, the original soundtrack, some posters and stickers and a manual -- plus optional commentary and background information that can be turned on during the game. We recently spoke with Remedy's Oskari Hakkinen about Alan Wake's PC debut and the possibility of XBLA follow-up Alan Wake's American Nightmare on the platform. We may be biased, but we think it's a pretty good read.

"Oh, God. You're killing me," Remedy Entertainment's Oskari Hakkinen groaned when I pressed him for details on PC plans for Alan Wake's American Nightmare. "I've got nothing to announce at this point," he moans softly into his headset. After a moment of silence I burst into laughter and he quickly joins me.As Head of Franchise Development, Oskari -- or Ozz, as he asks people to call him -- would certainly know Remedy's plan for Alan Wake's XBLA title coming to PC. But American Nightmare wasn't the basis for my call to the Finnish developer. It was Alan Wake's original tale I wanted to discuss, a game many skimmed past due to what many in the industry infuriatingly refer to as an "embarrassment of riches."On the same day Alan Wake's long development process met its ultimate ship goal, it was greeted by a host of quality competition. The adrenaline-fueled Split/Second landed on shelves. The Prince of Persia returned to his roots in The Forgotten Sands.Red Dead Redemption happened.%Gallery-147824%
