Some days you fight to not be bored, some days you fight your boss, and some days you jump in a spaceship, blast off into deep space and you fight to Stay Alive -- get it? That's the name of this game that Redditor Vole85 spent more than 100 hours creating for iOS and Android markets, and we think every minute of dedication shows. Stay Alive is a fast-paced spaceship side-scroller that would be fairly standard if it didn't have such a rockin' soundtrack and charming bonuses. It's available now for free on Android and for $0.99 on the App Store. Vole85 -- of Drummer Games -- is taking suggestions now for improvements or additions to Stay Alive, and we're sure he'd like to hear your feedback. Moral of the story: You can't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket; you can't earn Karma if you don't post on Reddit; you can't teach a grizzly bear to knit a sweater. You just can't.

As many of you will recall, last week we talked about Champions Online's PvP and some basic information on the builds and gametypes currently available. For those of you who watched my livestream this week, I also managed to noob it up in Stronghold quite a bit (plus a game of BASH and a game of Zombies). It was quite fun; I have very little experience in Stronghold compared to other types of PvP, so it was a bit of a learning experience. I wanted to go back to PvP again this week and cover some basic tools and strategies for all types of PvP, especially the Hero Games group PvP modes. Some of the strategies aren't obvious to beginners, and others are easy to forget in the heat of battle. While everyone can agree on certain basic strategies, it's easy to get blood in the eyes and focus too heavily on depleting some hero's life bar.

  • Try to 'Stay Alive' through the trailer

Apple has posted the trailer for the upcoming "if you die in the game, you die for real" movie Stay Alive. The trailer is full of enough mainstream gaming cliches to make even casual gamers uncomfortable. The titles read: "In a world. There are 100 million gamers in America... One in four is addicted... But what happens... when the game you play... begins playing you?"Considering the dubious claim that one in four are addicted (they should read this article), not to mention Malcolm in the Middle, don't expect anything more than a cheesy gamesploitation b-movie. Just keep telling yourself, "At least it's not Uwe Boll. At least it's not Uwe Boll."[Thanks, webbie Bud]UPDATE: Fixed a minor typo, thus restoring harmony to the post.
