Capcom continues to push free games to our iPhones on the regular. An update for the Final Fight@Capcom Arcade (formerly Capcom Arcade) app adds two more games to the free-to-play lineup: Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts -- which is actually a SNES game -- and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. As with all the other games in the app, players can use three "free play" tokens to access them, or buy virtual arcade machines for $3 a pop. And while the controls are usually an issue, the swipe-based controls in Puzzle Fighter are actually pretty good! Try it for yourself -- it's free, after all.

Nintendo has released the list of Virtual Console games planned for release in Japan next month, including eleven games overall. The biggest news is probably Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, which was released in North America on the PlayStation, but will be released on the VC in its original Super Famicom form. If the PlayStation release were to come out on VC, that would definitely be news. In any case, don't look for it outside Japan any time soon: as Siliconera points out, Atlus's English translation was only used for the PlayStation version, and Square Enix isn't going to license that work and recode the game to put it in. It's rather miraculous that they've deigned to dump one of their ROMs on the service as it is.Other items of interest include the Alex Kidd sequel The Lost Stars, which contains one of the most ridiculous digitized screams in history, and the return of the SuperGrafx Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts! Will it actually come out this time? And we must mention Wallaby!! which is a game about rabbits betting on kangaroo races.

An entry for a 360 version of Super Ghouls N' Ghosts recently popped up on the ESRB website, leading many to believe that Capcom's classic will soon be appearing on Xbox Live Arcade. Beloved by old school gamers for its charm and tough-as-nails difficulty, Super Ghouls N' Ghosts would certainly be a welcome entry to the Arcade. Unfortunately, that's all we have to go on right now, as no announcements have yet been made. As such, chalk this up as a rumor for now. Still, once a game shows up at the ESRB, it's a fair bet that it's coming (let's hope it arrives with a save function).Anyone else looking forward to the game so nice you have to beat it twice?[Via TeamXbox]
