It looks like we're not finished with deals between comic book creators and online movie studios. Hot on the heels of Netflix announcing its acquisition of Mark Millar's comic book empire Millarworld comes news from Amazon. The company now has a first-look deal with Robert Kirkman and David Albert's Skybound Entertainment, the media organization behind The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. Additionally, Skybound (and Kirkman specifically) will develop original TV projects for Prime Video.

Telltale's roster of graphic adventure games has slowly expanded over the years to include serious AAA properties, like the Guardians of the Galaxy adaptation they released back in April. But the title that pioneered their wildly successful style when it launched in 2012, The Walking Dead, is finally coming to a close. The first episode of its final 'season' will debut sometime in 2018 -- and so will new adventures for Batman and The Wolf Among Us.

Today, AMC announced a new way to watch its programming -- through a new service called AMC Premiere that allows subscribers to watch episodes of its current season shows without ads. However, unlike HBO's and Showtime's standalone apps, AMC Premiere is only available to those who have AMC as part of their cable packages. And for now, it's available to Xfinity customers exclusively.

April is fast approaching, which means another handful of games will be free to play on Xbox One through the Games with Gold program. During the course of next month, four titles -- two for Xbox One and two for Xbox 360 -- will be free to download. The most notable of the group, Ryse: Son of Rome, will be available for players to download during the entire month of April. If you'll recall, Ryse was an Xbox One launch title back in 2013.

Each year that Geoff Keighley's Game Awards distances itself from its SpikeTV past, it gets subsequently less embarrassing to watch. And without a doubt, The Game Awards 2016 was the best show yet. Couldn't watch the stream? Well, that's too bad, but we've got you covered. Below you'll find a list of the night's big winners in addition to all the trailers that made their world premieres onstage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. There were a few emotional moments onstage as well, including Ryan Green accepting the Games for Impact award for That Dragon, Cancer; Keighley presenting his friend Hideo Kojima with a statue for Industry Icon and Nolan North throwing striking voice actors under the bus during his acceptance speech for best performance.

Telltale's video game series based on The Walking Dead is one of the studio's most popular and acclaimed offerings, but it's been a long time a new game has been released. We just found out that the game's third "season" would arrive this fall, and today a new trailer has dropped just as E3 is getting underway. The minute-long teaser shows off the requisite post-apocalyptic setting, complete with gruesome zombies, that The Walking Dead is known for -- but we also see the Clementine character all grown up (relatively speaking) for the first time. The video is otherwise light on details, but it still is getting us excited for the game's launch later this year.

While most of us are still waiting for Google Fiber to reach our town, many of the people who have its TV service were waiting for something else: AMC. Now, after nearly four years of waiting and an overwhelming number of requests on Google's forums, they have it on channel 288. While adding the channel post-Mad Men and Breaking Bad feels a little late, AMC does have The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul, to go with newbie series Preacher and Feed the Beast.

  • 'Walking Dead' creator's new show to debut on Facebook in Europe

Cinemax's upcoming show Outcast will debut on Facebook Live in Europe and Africa tonight. Outcast is an adaptation of The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman's comic book series of the same name. Dealing with the supernatural and demonic possession, the comics are dark, scary and pretty fun. The TV show apparently sticks closely to the original's vision, offering straight-up horror and gore rather than The Walking Dead's focus on drama. Fox has purchased international syndication rights to the show, and will air episodes in 61 countries shortly after their US transmission. It's using Facebook Live to promote the show in the territories where it has the rights. Only the pilot will stream in this way, and the series itself begins its regular TV run on June 3rd. This will be the first time Facebook's burgeoning live video service has hosted a TV series, but Fox has already experimented with the platform, live streaming a London X-Men: Apocalypse event earlier this month. Outcast will go live at 10PM CET tonight in over 61 countries, including the UK, Germany, South Africa, Spain and Sweden.

If you like your podcasts dark and to fill you with a sense of dread, then you may have come across Aaron Mahnke's Lore series. Launched in March 2015, the audio show focuses on horror stories of old, touching on the origins of legendary beasts, ghosts, witches and murderers based on real-life accounts and historical events. The award-winning podcast already claims more than two million monthly listens, and now it's going to get the TV treatment. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Walking Dead executive producer Gale Anne Hurd is on board to turn Lore into an hourlong horror TV series.

This week Archer season seven premieres on FX, while The Walking Dead prepares for its season finale. Of course, VR games have arrived including Adr1ft, while the new Rollercoaster Tycoon comes to PCs via early access, and Resident Evil 6 arrives on the new generation of consoles. We also have a day-and-date Ultra HD Blu-ray release, as Concussion is available in 1080p or Ultra HD and, of course, the new Star Wars movie will be available via digital outlets starting Friday, before the Blu-ray arrives next week -- I have a (legit) early copy, and it's as excellent as you would expect. As promised, Telltale Games has delivered a six-minute preview for its next The Walking Dead game. TWD: Michonne will focus on the dual-katana wielding character in a story that fits into a bit of missing time from the original graphic novel. It won't have anything to do with the new episode that aired on TB tonight, but instead players will follow along as Michonne turns pirate and hits the zombie-infested high seas. The first episode of the $15 miniseries will come to PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on February 23rd, before arriving on Android and iOS on February 25th.

The Walking Dead: Michonne is a three-episode miniseries from the undead-drama masterminds at Telltale Games, and the first installment is set to drop on February 23rd for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Android and iOS versions land on February 25th. The premiere episode is titled "In Too Deep" and it ties directly into Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead graphic novel: Michonne disappears between issues #126 and #139, and Telltale's miniseries divulges what she did during that absence. Spoilers: She becomes a badass pirate.

HBO has Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, following the premiere of its new Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese-created show Vinyl, which follows a record exec in the 1970s. If you've already binged through Jessica Jones and The Man in the High Castle (no spoilers please, I'm taking it slow), there's still a few things to look forward to on the holiday weekend. Now that a particular plot point has been settled, The Walking Dead has one last episode before it takes a midseason break. Beyond: Two Souls is back with a new version on PlayStation 4, and Drunk History has its season finale this week. Blindspot and Castle are also ready for winter break, while Dancing with the Stars and Black Jesus are wrapping up their season runs. This week a spinoff for AMC's popular The Walking Dead series is premiering, along with the very familiar Zombi game for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Previously seen on the Wii U as Zombi U, it's (appropriately) making a return on new platforms, with some of the features developed for the Wii U's tablet now redesigned for conventional controllers. Keeping with the theme, our final blast from the past is Punk'd, returning for a 10th season, but now on BET featuring social media stars DeStorm Power and King Bach instead of Ashton Kucher. Need one more? Take a look at Starz on Saturday where Sir Patrick Stewart is headlining a new series Blunt Talk -- or just watch the first two episodes right now. Starbreeze, the game developer behind Payday 2, Syndicate and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, is getting into VR. The company has acquired hardware startup InfinitEye and is developing its prototype VR headset under a new name: StarVR. The device is unique because it offers a super-wide 210-degree field of view, which is more than double the 100 degrees found on the Oculus Rift. The headset also boasts two 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) displays, coupled with a fresnel lens design to give players an immersive VR experience. Motion tracking is handled with fiducial markers on the headset (not shown) and a combination of gyroscopes, accelerometers and magnetometers.
