accessTunes enables iTunes sharing via the web

accesstunes

You can share your iTunes library over a LAN, but sharing it over the internet isn't so easy ever since Apple disabled that brief moment of pure music sharing joy way back when. Enter accessTunes from Bains Software. accessTunes allows you to share your iTunes library over the Web, and it starts up when your Mac starts up - you don't even need to have iTunes running. You can monitor what people are listening to and password protect your library for some extra security (and to quell the concerns of digital rights folks). We haven't been able to test it out yet, so performance reports are pending. Of course, the time between now and when this turns into a music exchange protocol is probably closing rapidly, so get this while you can.
