Canon making big push into rear projection TVs
Obviously Canon must figure there's still some bucks to be made in rear projection TVs or something, because they've just announced they'll be launching production of a line of sets later this year in a bid to try and grab a slice of the market for large screen displays. The first models won't be available until the end of the year, at which point the market for giant TVs might be mad saturated, but Canon's current plan is to focus on rear projection for displays 60 inches in size and larger and use another technology called SED for anything smaller than that.
