Samsung's SyncMaster 178B and 198B rock the 4ms response time
ViewSonic already beat them to the punch last month, but Samsung rolled out a couple of new LCD monitors with an ultrafast pixel response time of just 4ms today (yes, the 4ms is probably only for "gray-to-gray"; color response time is typically a bit slower). Faster pixel response times usually mean less blurriness and ghosting, which is sort of a big deal for hardcore PC gamer types. Now for the bad news: as far as we can tell, both the 17-inch SyncMaster 178B and 19-inch SyncMaster 198B are only going to be available in South Korea, at least for the time being.
