In-flight cell services still slow in coming, report says

According to a new analyst report from Telecom, Media & Finance Associates, further satellite-based cellphone and internet setups on planes probably won't -- if you'll pardon the pun -- take off anytime soon. Given the failure of Connexion-by-Boeing to provide sustainable and profitable in-flight internet access, the analysts say that the better way to go is with cheaper air-to-ground systems, along the lines of the one planned by AirCell. So to any company (including AirCell) planning in-flight calling and/or internet services, we'd really like to see your service, erm, soar, y'know?
