Illinois governor ordered to hurry up and pay ESA

we'll just wait for it to fall outta the sky...

A federal judge has ordered Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's administration to devise an exit strategy a payment plan for the $510,250 (and swelling) the state owes to the ESA. U.S. District Judge Matthew Kennelly ruled in August that Illinois should pay the ESA for legal fees incurred while fighting a law that barred the sale of violent or sexually explicit video games to minors -- the law was found to be unconstitutional.

Since the ruling, an additional $8,800 of interest has been added to the state's tab, prompting Kennelly to demand that Blagojevich & co. submit a plan "with specificity" by December 18. "The time for waffling has passed," reckoned the judge.
