Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles with Wii Zapper

The Wii Zapper went from announcement to practice with the quickness. We got some time to spend with the contraption while testing out Capcom's Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. Sadly, they're still only showing off the single player version. The level they showed off was in a dilapidated downtown filled with zombies. We can't say our impressions have changed very much since our last hands-on.

The game is fun, but the targeting doesn't seem very responsive and shaking the whole Zapper to reload takes some serious getting used to. Flicking the Wiimote to reload outside the Zapper is far less annoying than shaking the whole thing in your hands. Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles really feels like a game to play with a friend on a lazy afternoon -- but the Zapper plastic shell definitely doesn't add $20 worth to the experience
