Q. I found a comparison photo on GameSpot and I'm wondering if you know what the background image on both screens is from? Is it from a PSP game? It looks a bit like Little Big Planet to me...
A. You're correct! The background image is indeed from LittleBigPlanet, which is coming to the Playstation 3 in October.
Q. Will the new Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim work with the 3000 Series?
A. While the Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim doesn't officially support the soon-to-be-released PSP-3000, based on it's physical size, we're assuming it will fit just the same.
Q. Does the PSP have a wireless internet connection?
A. Of course! The PSP has Wi-Fi (802.11b) connectivity, which allows you to surf the internet, play online, or even download content to your PSP's memory stick.
Q. I live in the US, is it possible for me to purchase games from the European PLAYSTATION Store?
A. It's a little tricky, but it is possible. Sony doesn't allow a single account to access multiple stores, so the easiest method would involve creating a brand new account. You may have to input information pertaining to a different country, but it will get you the content you're looking for.
Q. When is the new silver PSP coming out in the United States?
A. The Mystic Silver PSP-3000 will be released on October 14th for $199, and includes Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets (UMD), an echochrome PSN voucher, and a 1GB memory stick.
Q. I wanted to know an answer to a question a lot of people are probably asking. Why don't they release any Call of Duty games for the PSP? I mean the DS could handle Call of Duty 4 then definitely the PSP can handle it nowl. I found the other day that they aren't releasing COD5 for the PSP eeither and they're basically releasing it for every other system except for the PSP.
A. That's a question more suited for the developers, but my guess would involve development costs and control difficulties. With the PSP lacking a second analog stick, many developers pass on first-person shooters, and instead bring them to the larger consoles.
Q. When Sony comes out with a PSP 2 (a new machine and not just an update of the current model), what are the chances we'll see it have a blu-laser and blu-ray UMD games?
A. There's almost no chance Sony would try to bring Blu-ray technology to the smaller UMD discs. The technology is very expensive and would raise the price dramatically. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to include flash memory, as digital media gains popularity, but Blu-ray in a portable form is too unrealistic at this point. Sorry!
