LotRO Fall Festival guide: Harvestmath

Harvestmath is the fall festival held by the Men of Bree-land. It is located on the Bree-land festival grounds just north of Bree, and within the town of Bree itself. Many of the events here are the same as the Summer Lithe Festival or last year's Fall Festival, with a few exceptions. The dancing, pumpkin patch, pie-eating and horse races are all the same as last year. In fact, the horse you can win for this year's festival is the exact same one as last year's. We will include reference for the repeated parts of the event later in this guide, but for now we want to focus on the Troves and Trickery series of quests.

In Bree, this quest starts by talking to Bryony Elwood, located on the road just north of the Town Crier. She will tell you to that she wants you to put on a mask and play tricks on four citizens of Bree. You don't actually need to wear the mask to perform these tricks, but you do need to find each person and perform a certain emote in front of them after you talk to them about the quest. An interesting bug with this is the fact that you will need to take any other quests that these NPCs might have, or else their Troves and Trickery quest won't show up. This can certainly throw off players if they don't know exactly who they're looking for.

You can refer to the map above for exact locations of each NPC. Going in the numerical order shown will probably be the most efficient, although you do have over 17 minutes to perform your trickster tasks. Refer to the Fall Harvest Festival gallery for screenshots of each NPC if you're stuck.

Tad Ashmead - This NPC stands on a box directly south of the Trickster NPC and in front of the Bree Town Hall. You will need to do the /dustoff emote in front of her after talking to her.

Tad Leafcutter - Run straight south on the main road to the Auction Hall and take a right turn towards the Bree Reputation Hall/Hunting Lodge. Sitting in front you'll see this NPC, who will be thoroughly impressed by your /shiver emote.

Mat Heathertoes - Head back out by the AH and then northwest as if you're going to the vault. You'll see a road turn off to the left and if you head down that path, you'll meet this NPC standing towards the back. Do the /mock emote to impress this fellow.

Lily Sandheaver - Head back out the alley and straight north towards the Western Bree stables. Lily Sandheaver also functions as the area's Grocer, so you may be fairly familiar with her already. Perform the /yawn emote to her and you're all finished! Circle back down the road towards The Prancing Pony, and talk to the Trickster once again to claim your prize. The first time you do it, you may want to take the Beaver mask token as a reward. Luckily, the quest is repeatable (after several hours) so the subsequent runs through can be done for three Fall Festival tokens each time.
