Minecraft becomes a million-seller

As of the writing of this post, the Minecraftstats page shows that 1,000,049 people have purchased Markus "Notch" Persson's indie construction sensation -- 31.5 percent of all of the registered players. That's an awful lot of copies sold of a game that just hit beta. Conversely, that's an awful lot of people willing to pay money to alpha- or beta-test a game.
