Day one copies of Assassin's Creed: Revelations on PS3 to include the original Assassin's Creed
As if anyone needed yet another reason to pick up Assassin's Creed: Revelations at launch, Ubisoft has just announced that the initial shipment of the PS3 version of their time-jumping assassination simulator will also include the original Assassin's Creed.
Seeing as the Assassin's Creed mythos are fairly intricate, convoluted and span several centuries, playing through the original will provide a much needed refresher course for those of us who have clocked more than a few hours in the Animus. At this point, we're not even sure who we are anymore.
[Update: We reached out to Ubisoft to ask if the 2007 pre-Trophy Assassin's Creed would be updated to support the digital baubles, and a Ubi rep replied, "There will be no trophy support for the original Assassin's Creed." Sorry, Trophy collectors.]

Assassin's Creed® Revelations on Blu-Ray Disc™ for Playstation®3 system Includes Original Assassin's Creed®
SAN FRANCISCO - September 19, 2011 - Today Ubisoft announced a special partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment offering the first PlayStation®3 players of Assassin's Creed Revelations an opportunity to relive the beginnings of the epic Assassin's Creed saga.
In Assassin's Creed Revelations, master assassin Ezio traces the footsteps of his predecessor, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. Now, gamers will be able to go back to the beginning of the Assassin's Creed storyline as the day one copies of Assassin's Creed Revelations on PlayStation®3 will include a copy of the original Assassin's Creed.
Whether being introduced to the award-winning original Assassin's Creed for the first time or going back to relive the start of the epic journey, players will be drawn into the secret war between Templars and Assassins in ancient Jerusalem.
Assassin's Creed® Revelations will be available on November 15, 2011.
