Xbox celebrates going back to school with some distracting sales

A couple of serious sales are doing the rounds on Xbox Live Marketplace this week.

First up, the Back to School sale sees a good number of games go half-off, including Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, Bloodforge, both episodes of Sonic 4, and Joe Danger. The pick of the bunch, however, is definitely Double Fine's Stacking. The doll-piling puzzler drops from its original price of 1200 MSP to just 300.

As if that wasn't enough to keep kids (and adults) from their homework, the Xbox Deal of the Week sees the prices of six more games cut by 50%. That sextet features Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Limbo, and Digital Reality's time-bending shoot-em-up, Sine Mora. According to Major Nelson, the following week will see PopCap's collection of casuals getting a similar treatment.
