The Queue: The eve of Winter Veil

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Today's edition of The Queue is short and sweet. Blame the holidays.

goncas.crazy asked:

How do you feel about the new Dinomancers they're adding in 5.2? I'm still quite unsure: on one hand it seems kinda childish; on the other hand... ZOMG! DINOSAURS! GIMMIE!!

Dinomancy is one of those things where my first reaction was, "Really? Dinomancers? How stupid." Then I thought about it a little more and decided it sounds pretty fun, and fun is only stupid if it actually hurts someone. Dinomancers don't hurt anybody. At least, they don't hurt anybody outside of our characters within the game. Just enjoy it.

malignantbacon asked:

I've been sitting on some birthday money and was wondering: is it possible to pay for faction transfers and other account services with prepaid Visa gift cards?

I believe you can do that, yes. I've never done it myself, but those prepaid Visa cards tend to work exactly like a regular credit card. If a vendor accepts Visa cards, they'll accept your Visa prepaid. Blizzard accepts Visa.

mldaniels asked:

Do you think we will ever get a first aid trainer like the cooking trainer at Halfhill? I thought the new daily hubs would have been a great place to let people power level first aid.

I'm not sure it's quite so necessary with first aid. Cooking needed it because collecting all the various types of meat you needed was a real pain in the butt -- at certain levels of it, you'd be given the option of traveling halfway across the world for wolf meat, or halfway across the world in the other direction for raptor meat. Then you'd get 10 skillups off of it and need to go to some other ridiculous place for your meat. If you didn't skill up cooking while leveling, it was more effort than it was worth to skill it at max level.

First aid, though, that just needs cloth. Cloth is readily available and you have many options on where to gather it. It's much more straightforward. That said, maybe Blizzard will do it, there's no reason leveling these secondary tradeskills should be an ordeal at all. The need for a trainer like that for first aid just isn't as great as it was for cooking.
