The Queue Today is magical

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) will be your host today.

It's called illusion, Michael.

Miguel asked:

Is there any gear with valor points that doesn't requrie any rep?

Nope!

Passiko asked:

are they touching valor and honor points or no?

Nope! All your valor and honor points are staying the same. You still have the cap, too. But by the time you'll have the rep to unlock the new 5.2 valor gear, you'll be over the cap, so you might want to spend it down a little to maximize your valorness.

Ian asked:

Can I have your dog?

Nope!

And look, isn't he cute? My parents just got him. So I gather he's their dog, given I haven't lived at home for 10 years. But still, point stands. Cute dog.

Andre asked:

what if there was a patch 5.4? What do you think would be it's content?

If Blizzard sticks with their update plan, then patch 5.4 is going to be raids (and maybe a dungeon set). I'm not saying the word content because 5.3 is going to be content too -- just like 5.1 was content in the new set of dailies.

I'd actually like to see some solid PvP improvements in 5.3/4 -- maybe something that lessens the wall of gear PvP players have to climb. I'm saying this in part as I get ready for some PvP writing in I'm in response to my editorial last week. While a lot of people complain about the players in PvP -- an almost equally annoying (yet not nearly as insurmountable) problem is the gear wall. Anyways, I digress. More on that another time.

Adam asked:

If someone leaves an instance group while a loot roll is in progress, will they still receive the item if they win the roll?

I've had it happen to me both ways. That said, I always play the safe route and just wait until the roll finishes. If there's loot involved I want then waiting around an extra few minutes is worth my time.

Blizzard has said before, or one of their guys/gals at least tweeted that you should always get it in the mail if you win the roll and are not in the group. And I know for a fact this has happened, but still... I don't want to take risks here.

Finally, be thankful that I left my Origin rant off the Queue today. Because it almost happened.
