Deezer outs Xbox Live app, available now to Premium+ subscribers in Europe

While Microsoft may have unveiled a new generation of its Xbox console yesterday, some companies are still trying to get a piece of real estate on the current ecosystem. Today, Deezer announced that it's making a debut on Xbox Live, giving (some) users of the streaming service access to its extensive music repertoire right from the 360. The app will be available "across Europe" for now, and mum's the word on when, or if, Deezer plans to launch in more markets. For those living in The Old Continent, however, all you'll need is a Premium+ subscription and, as is often the case with similar offerings, a Gold membership on Xbox Live. Jam on.%Gallery-188959%

New Deezer app for Xbox Live incorporates latest Kinect technology

21st May 2013

Global music subscription service Deezer today announced another landmark partnership to give music lovers across the world unlimited access to their favourite tunes - instantly from their Xbox games console.

On top of giving you access to over 20 million of the hottest tracks and thousands of themed radio stations, the new Deezer app for Xbox incorporates the latest Kinect voice and gesture technology so that you can take a break from dancing your socks off to navigate the specially designed screens using your whole body.

What's more, each console can connect to up to three Deezer accounts simultaneously, giving you even more opportunity to share and discover music with friends. Once you have decided who the Halo champion is, you can do battle for the title of King of the Deezer
Playlist.

Clément Cézard, Chief Business Development Officer for Deezer, said: "Now Xbox fans can enjoy music with friends directly via their games console so whether you consider yourselves soldiers, dragon slayers or rock stars there is a song for you just waiting to be played."

"This partnership with Xbox gives the 3 million music fans already using our service another great way to experience and share tunes."

Elena Branet, Entertainment Marketing Lead, Xbox Live, said: "We are delighted that Xbox customers will be getting a great new music offering with Deezer. Users can find music on their consoles with their voice or gesture from Deezer's extensive catalogue, listen to their favourite tracks on or offline and browse editorial picks."

The Deezer app is available for download now, and to access all the great features all you need to do is subscribe to Premium+ on Xbox live.[1]
