The Queue: Jaeger Meister

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

It's my birthday and Guillermo Del Toro gave me the best possible birthday present at midnight. Go see Pacific Rim! I cannot think of a time in the movies in the last decade that could match the sheer excitement and exuberance Pacific Rim displayed and caused in me as well.

braelynn asked:

Blizzcon pre-party again this year? At the Anabella?

Nothing to announce quite yet, but obviously it's a tradition we'd like to maintain every year!

Jay16 asked:

If the Vale's waters have been drained does this change how the Valley of the Four Winds works and does it affect Sunsong Ranch?

I imagine it'll affect the valley in the short term, at least until the waters return, but of course, I'm not Blizzard! I highly doubt we'll see any changes to the quests in the valley.

JerryGlonek asked:

Does anyone else feel like Dread Wastes was created with flying mounts in mind? I've been through it four times now and I feel like it is definitely not meant to be traveled via ground mount. But I'm never 90 by the time I get there. (Well, maybe now with the XP reduction I would be).

I'm not sure the whole of it was designed with flying in mind; parts of it definitely were (the stuff you do there post-90), but as a zone I think it worked really well on foot. I found I needed situational awareness a bit more there than in other zones. Like I straight-up wasn't supposed to be there.

Tw asked:

Would you like to see Azshara as next expac's main antagonist? Do you think it'd make sense?

Cataclysm's expansion theme of "whatever the hell we want, basically" didn't play too well with the audience and I'm not sure how else an Azshara expansion would work; where do you quest? Underwater again? The whole time? Are there new beaches we need to defend? I'm not being snarky. I just genuinely can't think of a way to make her the antagonist of an entire expansion. There was room in Cataclysm; that ship has sailed and sunk.

Drindaar_Lightkeeper asked:

I am really excited for the next expansion. Pandaria just isn't my cup of tea (I prefer western fantasy much more than eastern). That is not to say I don't like MoP, but I would love to see a return to the more classic WoW feel.

This isn't really a question but then again my answer isn't really an answer: I'm just wondering what everybody thinks the next expansion will be. I have some ideas (some more plausible than others). Spill 'em in the comments!
