The Queue: Super Sentai

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Everyone who ever watched Power Rangers as a kid knows that the show cannibalized the Japanese series Super Sentai for its Ranger footage. One of the most recent Super Sentai series, Gokaiger, opens with a battle scene that includes every Power Ranger/Sentai ever. All 199 of them. Forever Red, you have been put to shame.

Nurpholomew asked:

If you could add one and only one achievement to the game what would it be and why?

Some kind of achievement that tarnishes your account for eternity if you type "grats" immediately after one of your guildmates completes another achievement. Because we all know you didn't actually read what that person achieved before typing it out.

BnDov3r asked:

What would be your top3 story threads you'd like to see developed in the next expansion?

Since I play Alliance: reclaiming Gilneas, reclaiming Gnomeregan, and reclaiming Argus. The Alliance has more exiles and outcasts than the faction that prides itself on being outcasted exiles. We should probably spend a few years being less terrible at holding onto our homelands.

ScottLeyes asked:

So, who else wants playable Abominations?

Not it.

@thebiggameover asked:

when do you think the launch date for hearthstone is gonna be

It's hard to say. The game plays well enough that they could release it whenever they want. However, there's a lot of work they could do before launching. Balance isn't perfect. Accruing currency in-game is too dependent on quests while not rewarding normal play very well. You get 40-60 gold for completing your daily quest, but only 1 gold per win when playing normally, and no reward for a loss. I, personally, would much rather be able to make the bulk of my gold playing whatever deck I feel like playing on any given day rather than the random objective given to me by a daily quest. That's simply not viable. However, that's a personal issue and not necessarily the direction the devs see for the game.

In any case, the game isn't unstable or horribly broken, so unless they're going to do some serious balance work on cards/decks, I don't imagine the game needs to be in beta for long.

@ChaosInHyrule asked:

Any hope for more improvements made to roleplay servers? Would love to be able to toggle mobs/ npc's off in raids and dungeons.

I don't know if there's anything like that in the works, but it would be really cool. I don't roleplay in WoW anymore, but it was one of my favorite things back in the day. We often cleared out dungeons not for the loot, but to set a cool stage for hanging out in-character.

Roleplaying is a difficult thing to design for, everybody wants something a little different. Most of the things you can do, its usefulness for gameplay is limited. How do you design with someone's imagination in mind?

@elepheagle asked:

given Blizz's intention to further develop level-scaling, might we one day see WoW rid of levels in favor of a dif system?

It might be a little late to do something that significant, but maybe I'm wrong. I like The Secret World's system where there are no levels and there are no classes, you just earn points forever to buy whatever you want from any specialization, but that wouldn't work in WoW. That's a system that needs to be there from the beginning. The entirety of World of Warcraft is built around levels and I don't see how that could go away.
