Netflix hooks up with its third cable TV partner in Europe
The news that Netflix will offer its wares on Denmark's Waoo! network might not sound like a big deal, but bear with us. It's the third such European deal after Virgin Media in the UK and Sweden's Com Hem, and it raises the possibility that Netflix could be going after one cable operator in every European country. It'd make sense, since the cable company could sell more connections and Netflix would gain more subscribers. Either way, we'll keep a weather eye on this just in case Europe has to rename itself The United States of Netflix in the near future.
