Samsung's Galaxy Watch looks like a real watch

It will come in two sizes and three colors.

Considering Samsung accidentally leaked its new smartwatch on its own website, it's not a surprise that the company announced the Galaxy Watch at its event today. It will come in two sizes: 42mm ($330) and 46mm ($350). The 46mm watch will come in Silver, while the 42mm will be available in Midnight Black and Rose Gold. You can pre-order starting August 10th on Samsung.com; the watches will go on sale on August 24th.

The Galaxy Watch looks like an actual watch, not a smartwatch -- complete with a circular bezel and rotating design. Many of the features are similar to the previous Samsung smartwatches, including LTE connectivity and a battery that lasts "several days," according to Samsung's Elina Vives. That's thanks in part to a processor that was created specifically for a smartwatches. Of course, that LTE connection allows you to answer calls, respond to texts, stream music and more.

The Galaxy Watch will offer faces aimed at productivity. A "daily briefing" feature will certainly help there as the watch can sync with your calendar and show your appointments on the home screen. You can purchase a variety of bands for the device and there will be over 60,000 total faces available. What's more, the high-res display is covered by durable Corning Gorilla Glass DX+. The watch also has 5 ATM water resistance.

Of course, the watch also has fitness and health tracking. It has "Connected Health" features, including stress management, which will track your heart rate and offer suggestions if it thinks you need to de-stress. It will also help you stay fit, with 39 tracked workouts and food and water tracking, and monitor your sleep. In addition to Samsung Health, there's access to Samsung Pay, Bixby and SmartThings so you can keep tabs on all things Samsung right on your wrist.

Update 4:36PM ET: This post has been updated to clarify Samsung's Elina Vives presented the Galaxy Watch at today's event, and to add more details on the wearable's features.
