  • Roll out two balls of clay, one of each color. The clay is divided into bars. I used about 1/2 of a blue bar of clay and 1 full bar of gold clay.

  • Flatten your balls out on the counter with the palm of your hand. You can smooth them over gently with your finger to eliminate finger prints.

  • Your gold piece should look like this. Remove the outer circle.

  • Repeat the process with the blue piece and medium cutter. Use the medium cutter to cut out the center of the gold circle and set it aside, leaving the outer ring.

  • Place the blue circle inside the gold ring and lightly press the outer ring towards the blue circle so that it fits tightly.

  • Using your saved gold circle, cut out a small flame shape. This may take a few tries. The clay is pretty forgiving, so you can reshape it if you need to.
