Engadget Review

The Pre 3 is living proof that Palm had it in 'em, but with webOS all but dead, it's left to be an amazing collectible.

Frustrating to use mainly because of the promise that HP squandered. Some genuine software and hardware innovations, many of which have now been incorporated into other OSes. Notifications, card-based multitasking, integrated Skype calling and excellent cross-platform IM service are all great.

This is my third webOS phone (I've had every iteration of the Pre), and I'm not looking forward to the day when I've finally got to leave this operating system behind. It's much more intuitive, to me, than iOS or Android, thanks in large part to the physical keyboard and gesture bar.

As a former iphone user I have to say the only thing I missed in the beginning was app-selection, but I quickly found out that I still have everything I need for my purposes and the device is stellar! Due to great web and flash-support and the amazing interface webOS is by far the best portable OS on the market and it shines on the Pre3!

This is a fantastic device cut short by HP's lack of direction. The hardware is smooth, quick, and pretty modern; about where the 2nd generation WP7 phones are (mid-1 GHz single core CPUs, 480x800 displays, etc.). Undoubtedly the best hardware webOS has ever seen.
