What we're watching: You know we're getting a little tired of terrorist stomping w/ Jack Baue.....waitaminnit, we never get tired of that. From JackBauerFacts.com:"Nostradamus once predicted in his journal: "In the century 21st, the one known as Jacques will be the savior of the world... five seasons in a row." Moments later, Jack Bauer knocked down the door, shot Nostradamus in the kneecaps, and yelled "WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR?!""Nuff said. However, since we actually like to DVR 24 and watch it starting 20 minutes later sans commercials, we'll be checking out some womens NCAA Elite 8 tourney action on ESPN. The action is pretty good and the quality is better than CBS' broadcast. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: The Jack Bauer Power Hour continues in full effect, and you never know who you might see. Predictions: Jack shoots someone, is shot at, asks someone a question then repeats it again only louder, still continues  to go 24 hour periods without sleeping eating or using a restroom. I didn't watch the first few seasons of this show, but picked it up this year and have been pleasantly surprised, it is very entertaining. One has to wonder how much stuff can happen to one guy, or when terrorists will finally figure out they should stay away from Jack Bauer, perhaps by reading Jack Bauer facts. If terrorist-killing isn't your cup-o-tea, there is always college basketball on ESPN. Sports fan that I am, I don't really follow college games until tournament time, I'm sure someone is on the bubble somewhere and that if the home team wins, the court will be stormed. Gotta love it.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

There's no mention of a cameo in the Fox credits, but we're wondering if those awesome "24" writers snuck Senator John McCain into this week's episode. Eagle-eyed HDBeat reader Ted tipped us off, so we scanned through the 720p recording on our Windows Media Center machine. Sure enough, it looks like the Senator to us in the top left frame, but we'll open up the comments for your opinions. What do you think: did Senator McCain drop off a file to Audrey Raines at 1:32 p.m. on Day 5 of "24"? Better yet: did the file contain the now signed DTV legislation? To help you out, we've got more screen caps for you to review with your official "24 Super Spy Goggles".

  • No emergency center is complete without HDTV

It seems like everybody is getting a video wall. Now Chicago has invested $4 million in their new City Incident Center, to coordinate traffic, towing, firefighting and snow removal. The best feature is an 18 foot tall high definition video wall. Considering some of the issues they've had with towing recently, hopefully this will help them out.My only question is why doesn't Jack Bauer and CTU have one of these?

What we're watching: There's really only one show for me tonight, but that's likely due to my watching seasons 1 through 4 of "24" on DVD over the past three months. Jack is back on a two-hour premiere of "24" tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox. The 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. hours air in 720p and according to the commercials that I just couldn't avoid, "everything will change in the first 10 minutes." I hope what doesn't change is the intensity and action that explodes off of the high-def set. Any guesses as to what tomorrow night's pick will be? We'll give you a hint: the next two episodes of "24" are on their regularly scheduled night of Monday.Don't miss the live "24" chat over at TV Squad; tune in your chat client at 7:00 p.m. EST by finding the chat room info here. After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.
