Amazon's new movie strategy includes 30 releases per year
Now that Amazon's Studios head Jennifer Salke has had some time to settle in, the company is about to shake up its movie strategy -- and you'll definitely notice the difference. Salke told Hollywood Reporter in an interview that Amazon is aiming to release a total of 30 movies per year spread between blockbusters, art house projects and movies that go directly to Prime Video. Salke didn't delve into specifics, to no one's surprise, but she claimed it was "much more intuitive" and that you could even see it in her office. Just let us know when you're ready to give a product demo, Jennifer.

According to Variety, sources say Salke is still on the lookout for an executive to work alongside Cheng, but no lead candidate has yet been identified.
