Wonderland Online tames the wild St. Joan of Arc
She's a spitfire military commander and was played by Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go's in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, but that doesn't mean Joan of Arc works alone. On the contrary: The good folks at Wonderland Online are pleased to announce that St. Joan is a "new human pet" for players to add to their team. We've heard that historical figures make the best pets, really. Joan will be kicking butt with her Running Strike and Water Explode skills, as her enemies discovered in the 15th century. As an immortal saint and human pet, St. Joan is but a part of the content that IGG has added to this title. With version 6.0 of Wonderland Online, two new player characters are now available to test drive. If the cushy princess life is for you, then Karin is right up your alley. She can even summon a butler to fight on her behalf (don't want to break those nails, after all). Or if you like getting your hands dirty, then pick up Juzo, a hammerer who "doesn't like talking with others" but helps out anyway. It's what he does. He's spiffy. Travel to Europe in Wonderland Online's new expansion
Would you love to plan a trip to Paris or London this summer but your budget is too tight and you're on the no-fly list? Wonderland Online has the next best thing: a new expansion featuring scenic European locales and historic characters. The upcoming Clash of Champions expansion-slash-content update is unveiling new maps for Paris and London, where players can team up with Joan of Arc, King Arthur and Lancelot for mind-bending new adventures. If that doesn't have you humming "Knights of the Round Table" from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, I don't know what will. Clash of Champions' namesake comes from the expansion's PvP focus across all the servers. They're even launching a new PvP-specific server for those who want to focus on player killing above all else. The update will also introduce two new characters to play for those bored of the current options. The isometric free-to-play title recently celebrated its second anniversary, and is home to a surprisingly large population. Second anniversary brings fun to Wonderland Online
IGG's Wonderland Online is a colorful MMORPG based on South American and Pacific Island cultures, and it's 2D world is now called home by 2 million registered users! The popular MMORPG features manufacturing and crafting systems to help players make what they need to get by in the world, and monsters that can even be tamed as pets. To celebrate the game's second anniversary, the team at Wonderland Online has pulled out all the stops, including a double experience weekend that will run from March 27th to March 29th. Wonderland Online patches up to version 4.0 with The Cursed Palace
Free to play 2-D fantasy MMO Wonderland Online has recently update with a brand new version, adding in new quests, a drastic change to the current storyline, and the ability to hold instances in their game. With all of these additions comes their new 13 dungeons, the wings of the Cursed Palace.The former Hell Generals of the evil King Howert (now deceased as of this patch) have captured Apollo, the Sun God, forcing the world into eternal darkness. Players will have to pass the tests of the Cursed Palace, a place that only Hercules had survived before, to reclaim Apollo and bring light back to the world. If you haven't noticed, this entire patch has a very Greek theme to it, introducing the Greek Polis area, which is a combination of all of the old Greek city-states, and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in addition to the Cursed Palace.For the full look at the 2-D MMO's large patch, check out their dedicated site to the update on the main Wonderland Online home page.
Wonderland Online announces Memorial Day events
Wonderland Online, one of the many free-to-play MMOs at the Internet Gaming Gate, has announced its exciting array of Memorial Day events happening this weekend.One of these is an interesting take on the original Memorial Day theme as a military holiday or remembrance. The event is called Saving Private Ryan and it will be a play on the movie of the same name. Three GMs will play the part of injured veterans who are on their way home from the front. They will be attacked by monsters along the way, and it's up to the players to defend them until they reach home. Plus, as an added bonus, from May 23rd to May 26th, players who post replies to discuss Wonderland Online in its forum will have a chance to win valuable rewards.

Wonderland Online interview
PC News has posted an interview with Wonderland Online's product manager, Edwin Huang. While it's fairly short, it does present the game as a fun, casual MMO -- if there is such a thing -- with an intriguing crafting element. From the interview: "Players can make various items including: furniture, food, weapons and even vehicles ... And also if you want to take a round-the-world tour in your own private plane, simply use the manufacturing system to make one for yourself."The piece also discusses the kid-friendliness of the title, the turn-based combat system, and the art style, among other topics. The screenshots are lush and friendly, and make the most of a top-down, isometric viewpoint. Wonderland Online is in closed beta; we'll have more on this game later.
Next stop Wonderland
So I admit it. When I first heard of an MMO called Wonderland Online, I rather expected to be running around an American McGee's Alice sort of world, full of Escher-like puzzles and creepy caterpillars. Boy was I off. Wonderland is a teeth-rottingly cute MMO, and the most recent game to be added to the IGG roster. You play as one adorable character from a pre-created selection (perhaps like a chibi Soul Caliber), and romp around fighting dancing pudding and mushrooms.If cute is your thing, you will definitely love this. No announcement has yet been made on a release date, but you can bet your fairy wings we'll be on top of it to let you know as soon as more information is available.
