One of EverQuest II's players, Katherine Masson, was driving home from Las Vegas when apparently she vanished. According to The Raven-Mythic, she has been missing for over two days now after sending out a text message from a rest stop in New York. A police report has been filed, but there have been no announced leads concerning her disappearance. So what happens when one of our own gamers goes missing? The community mobilizes, of course. The folks at The Raven-Mythic, an EverQuest II roleplaying guild, are continually updating a thread about Katherine's disappearance, spreading the word, and doing some of their own detective work. Katherine is also known as Jia, Essie, and Willasye in-game. Her last known location was at a rest stop near Albany, NY off of I-90, heading toward Boston. Parties with any information should contact Dan at dmak205@gmail.com. [Update: It now appears that Katherine has chosen to disappear in Las Vegas and she has done something similar at least once in the past. The owner of The Raven-Mythic writes, "By all accounts, Kate's issues caused her to use Dan, and by extension, use a lot of us. And that's terrible on many levels. Please don't let that diminish the fact that, as a community, we proved our worth in spades."]

We're not entirely sure what happened here, but perhaps this explains why we haven't seen as many Lord of the Rings Online shots lately. Wookadan from the Meneldor server writes: There must have been some sort of glitch that I ran into, because all of the water was glowing white. [It] made the screenshot look like I was being abducted by aliens or something! We suspect it could also be Gandalf playing pranks on people, too.Do you have some odd or interesting screen glitches that you have taken snaps of? Perhaps you just like the look of a certain world. Whatever the case, we want your screenshots. Just toss them into an email to oneshots AT massively DOT com. Yours could be next! %Gallery-9798%

The PC game Law & Order II: Double or Nothing has been withdrawn from retail shelves, due to the inclusion of a CCTV image of James Bulger, a two-year-old who was abducted and brutally murdered in England in 1993.Sky News reports that the image appears on a bulletin board in the game's police station, as seen above, and the murder case is directly referred to by one of the detective characters during gameplay. The victim's mother, Denise Fergus, recently became aware of the inclusion of the image, and complained to Legacy Interactive, the California-based developer responsible for the Law & Order games.According to GamesIndustry, Legacy has since issued a formal apology to the Bulger family, and has release a patch to remove the image from the game. They also promise to remove the photo from future printings of the title. Law & Order II: Double or Nothing was originally released in the UK and US in 2003.[Via Evil Avatar]
