For those of you who want a high-end gaming experience, but don't want to develop totally ripped arms from lifting a standard "gaming laptop" or carry a computer that can double as a sail, Dell-owned Alienware has introduced the M11x, which combines power with tininess. The M11x, basically Alienware's version of a netbook, features an 11.6-inch screen and an NVidia GT335M card that can be switched off to increase battery life when not gaming. Retailing for some unspecified sub-$1,000 amount (so $999.99?), the tiny computer can apparently run Crysis at 60 frames per second in 720p. Check our gallery for more official images, and see some closeups of the device over on Engadget. The M11x is simply our pick for the most neato of the many new Dell and Alienware computers unveiled at CES. %Gallery-82263%

So here it is, the M11x -- probably the closest you'll probably ever see Alienware get to a netbook, at least in size. You might actually be able to pull off some extended gaming sessions on the 11-inch screen -- it's certainly a crisp enough screen, from the time we spent with it -- but the real selling point here is plugging it up to an external monitor for your FPS / RTS / MMO needs and using it solo for productivity purposes. Of course it's a good bit heavier than other portables of the same size, but what do you expect with all it's trying to pack in? %Gallery-82002%

Well, would you look at that: we've just gotten word on the M11X, a new Alienware netbook. It's got an 11.6-inch display, NVIDIA GT335M switchable graphics, a rumored 6.5 hours of battery life on integrated and "over 2 hours" on gaming mode. This bad boy will ship in the spring for less than $1,000. That's all we know for now, we'll update as we hear more.
