If you splurged on one of the many 4K TVs Sony released this year, you're likely in for a treat. Sony is expanding the reach of its high dynamic range (HDR) color update to include more sets. It was originally destined for just the X930C and X940C, but the upgrade is now slated to reach the X850C, X900C and X910C this fall. If you're one of the fortunate few in line for this image quality bump, you can expect more vivid colors, greater contrast and more details in both highlights and shadows.

The way we watch movies and television is evolving, as more people adopt on-demand video. But still, the old question remains: "What's on that's worth watching?" The free web service Can I Stream It can help provide an answer. It lets you search for your favorite shows and movies to see if they are available on popular streaming, rental and digital purchase services. Can I Stream It will notify you when a currently unavailable program or film later becomes available on your selected services. Can I Stream It is available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone and as a Chrome extension. Just today, I was poking around and discovered Snatch, one of my favorite Guy Ritchie flims, available on YouTube for free. Being so used to watching streaming content via Netflix and Hulu Plus, I had forgotten YouTube streams many full-length movies because of large content providers like Crackle. The next time you find yourself in the mood for some Aaron Sorkin, Charlie Kaufman or Ernest P. Worrell, Can I Stream It can whisk you away into the cinematic worlds of The Newsroom, Synecdoche, New York or Kamp Kikakee.

Watching tonight's Cowboys / Giants game? We hope you stuck around for the commercials, because Amazon may have given NFL fans a glimpse of what's to come during tomorrow's event. According to folks watching the game, the firm ran a brief commercial featuring what appears to be a pair of Kindle devices, which comfortably fit previous reports that two new versions will be landing soon. One of the devices packs a touchscreen in a black finish, and looks distinct from hardware in the company's current lineup. At any rate, you can catch the minute-long TV spot after the break or wait until the firm's press conference tomorrow for concrete details. [Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata himself may have dropped word of Netflix support on the Wii U last year, but the company's now fully confirmed that and a whole lot more during its E3 keynote today. In addition to Netflix, the console's streaming video options will include Hulu Plus, YouTube and Amazon Video. Unfortunately, the company didn't delve much into specifics beyond that, but it did confirm in a press release that it's working with those companies on video services that will "take advantage of the integrated second-screen experience." It's also clear that Nintendo is putting a much bigger emphasis on video and entertainment on the Wii U than it did on the original Wii -- "Games, Social, Entertainment" are the key words, as it puts it.
