A new trailer for Star Trek: Tactical Assault has hit the net. As you may already know, the Star Trek franchise was recently taken over by Bethesda (those guys who did that Elder Scrolls game) and this title is their first entry into the series. While the title has received far more press and raised eyebrows alike on the major consoles and PC, that's not to say that the DS version is without its appeal. On the DS, the game is to feature 2 full campaigns to play through, as well as the usual real-time strategy and tactics elements accompanying a title with such a ... well, title. The game is to feature head-to-head multiplayer (sorry, no Wi-Fi connect), five playable races (Romulan Warbird FTW) and a skirmish mode. Star Trek: Tactical Assault is to release this Fall.

In the wake of Bethesda's Oblivion heading to the PSP next year, poor old Star Trek: Tactical Assault seems to have been lost in the shuffle. At least it has to most of us gamers, but I'm sure it hasn't to you Trekkies out there.Well, to said Trekkies, I'm sure you'll be eager to hear Bethesda has just released about a dozen new Tactical Assault screens. Just in case you didn't know, long-time Star Trek writer, D.C. Fontana, is penning Tactical Assault's script, and the game is a space-based, tactical-strategy game set in the original Star Trek universe. Tactical Assault is set to release Oct. 3.[Via Bethesda]

  • Killzone to feature Infrastructure multiplayer, but not at launch

Killzone: Liberation is one of the most anticipated games for the PSP. The shooter will feature six-player Ad-Hoc multiplayer modes including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Assault and Capture the Flag. Not bad. But more exciting is the potential for Infrastructure, which will be made as a downloadble upgrade a few weeks after the game's release on Halloween. In addition to multiplayer, two more maps will be released at that time and a new single player chapter, with four new missions. I'm assuming that it'll be good and free as the downloadable content in Wipeout: Pure. Even more exciting is knowing that downloads will be available throughout the year 2007 as well. Sweet! In addition to the DUI charge, Eriksson has been pegged with embezzlement, grand theft, and possession of a gun by a felon. The gaming industry's bad boy is no stranger to the criminal lifestyle. He served 5 & 1/2 years in Swedish prison for assaults, threats, and extortion.See also: Ex-Gizmondo exec's bail set at $7.5M, considered flight risk Ex-Gizmondo exec arrested, faces grand theft charges Gizmondo exec's life continues to spiral into infamy [Thanks, elvisizer]
