Have you ever been running along in an MMO and come screeching to a halt because other players are doing something inexplicably weird? Then perhaps you'd sympathize with reader Tyler in this situation. "There are times in games -- especially games like The Secret World -- when one stumbles across something they simply can't explain," he submitted. "But nothing I have seen is as surreal as the sight that greeted me when I stepped into Agartha during the recent Halloween event: a circle of Atenists worshipping a girl in a bikini whilst chanting "ATEN! ATEN! ATEN!' I asked around in general. No one had any explanation for what in God's name was happening. It is a mystery for the ages."

It was a pretty close vote there at the end, with folks rallying to their factions, but the Templars ultimately won out. I have to say, I am kinda pleased with the result. It's not that I was rooting for any one faction over the others; I was quite sincere in requesting direction in my The Secret World adventures. It's just that with Issue #6 The Last Train to Cairo coming out, my Templar is my only character in Egypt and in the perfect position to partake in all the new stuff. And am I excited for the new stuff! Among the new missions, the veteran reward system, and the PvP ranking, my all-time favorite weapon is coming to game. Squeee! Join me in eagerly anticipating these new adventures and offering the devs a round of applause.

ATEN has just announced a new pair of HDMI splitters, the VS182 (2-port) and VS184 (4-port). Both units are fully compatible with HDMI 1.3b and HDCP 1.1 specifications, and each box can send one source of HD video up to 20-meters to two / four displays at the same time. You can also count on Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio signals being piped out along with imagery, and those looking to do huge, huge things will love to hear that the splitters "are an extremely scalable solution with the capability to send signals to up to 64 displays when installed in a cascade." Both devices are ready to be purchased as we speak for £69.90 ($139) / £119.90 ($239).
