The stylsh Danes at Bang & Olufsen have announced their EarSet 3, a "unique mobile accessory" that pairs music headphones and a phone headset in a single device (we didn't think those were all that unique -- in fact, they couldn't possibly be much more common -- but whatevs). The headphones are based on B&O's A8 model, a noise isolating set of buds fashioned from aluminum (scratch-free, so they allege) and hard rubber with a frequency range of 50Hz up to a full 20KHz. Look for them to come bundled with a leather carrying case in late February for $250.

Aston Martin and Bang & Olufsen just announced a new "creative partnership." No details were provided but we can assume that it means the introduction of some B&O audio into future Aston Martin automobiles... and not the other way around. The result of which will be something you can neither afford nor differentiate from a Delco in the deep cacophony of rage known as mid-town Manhattan. Now hit that read link -- you'll appreciate the blast of over-exuberant, CEO blow-harding which fills your colon. We sure did.[Via Audio Junkies]

Over the years, B&O's legendary designs have had us feeling everything from ewww to ahhh. The BeoSound 6 -- designed by Steffen Schmelling -- is a definite meh. Oh it looks alright, it's just nothing we haven't seen so many times before (uh, hmm) -- unusual for these mavericks of Danish style. Nevertheless, if you've just gotta smother yourself in a little B and O then we've got good news: the 4GB Beosound 6 DAP with 40-hour battery will be shipping "this holiday season" for $600.

Oh sure, it doesn't look like much now, but that illustration above is none other than the Serene II fashion(ish) phone courtesy of the FCC. Otherwise known as the Samsung developed SGH-F310, the latest Bang & Olufsen über design packs GSM with EDGE data, 3G WCDMA, and Bluetooth 2.0. It's just a guess, but from the looks of the backside pic above, we're expecting the Serene II to continue with the original Serene's clamshell design only sporting a curvy fade sure to make Trekkies swoon. The team of Samsung and Bang & Olufsen have returned with new product in hopes of finally demonstrating their combined design chops. Having failed to win us, or the public at large over with their Serene (aka, SGH-E910), the duo has returned with the WEP 420 "high class" Bluetooth headset. A sliding cover on the headset offers a clean, button-hiding design while helping to "block static." The cradle, which of course, charges the headset when not in use can also be "used an interior decoration item" which is... uh, huh? Available in March for an undisclosed price. [Via AVING]
