If you haven't done a 40-man on Naxxramas yet, you'd better hurry. As we wrote in August, Blizzard plans to move the dungeon up north to make it WotLK entry-level raiding content. However, if you're still quite a bit away from getting there, you can check out one of Baron Soosdon's latest offerings, Destination Naxxramas.Pre-TBC, Soosdon had never had a chance to visit Naxxramas, so when a raid was arranged on his server, Twilight's Hammer EU, he jumped at it. The result is an action-packed artistic gameplay video, with a heavy soundtrack, that shows off the highlights of this dungeon of yesteryear. Be sure to watch it until the end for a special message ...[Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

Back in July, I wrote about the Warcraftmovies Synergy contest. Machinimators were given the choice between two unintentionally horrible scripts and were asked to follow them to the letter. In honor of that contest, Baron Soosdon, half of the winning duo, decided to create his own imba machinima contest. Offering up a top prize of being uuiU'd by Soosdon himself, he cranked out a script in just 15 minutes! It's been a while since I wrote about Kilh, of Rock 'n' Troll fame. He noticed the contest with a little over three days left until the deadline. Of course, being the talented filmmaker that he is, he decided to give it a go -- with amazing results. When asked for comment, he stated that the script made no sense, so he just followed it as if it were step-by-step instructions. Featuring a voiceover by yours truly, EPIXX - Too Fast For Love is ... something else. Try to imagine toilet gnomes, a ruined PR campaign (a nod to one of my Moviewatch posts), an epic purple Wand of Not Burning Books (the part that I voiced), a Titanic spoiler, and a bad 80s song in the credits that isn't a Rickroll. Those are just some of the highlights of an intentionally awesome script![Thanks for the laughs, #machinima on Quakenet IRC!]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

When I wrote about the Warcraftmovies Synergy contest for machinima three days ago, I had no idea just how close of a fight it would be. The results are in and it was literally a battle to the death. Baron Soosdon and Pinkhair beat Martin Falch by a whopping three votes, with final scores of 299 to 296. Over the next few days, we'll be looking at the winners and giving requested feedback to some of the ones that didn't place.Baron Soosdon and Pinkhair's machinima followed along with the Busted script, but there were multiple little touches that really made the film. In addition to weaving his 3d magic throughout, Pinkhair also used a third party program, Crazytalk, to animate the lips of one of the characters. Caruu mastered the sound, while he, Drewbie, Olibith, and Selserene voice acted. There are also tributes to the great Shepiwot, Drewbie's character from The Grind, the Robber Baron of Warsong Gulch, and the cast of Snacky's Journal. Even I played a part in it by ruining their PR campaign -- or so they say! Try to keep in mind that neither script was good, so the contenders didn't have a lot to work with in the way of variation. Now that it's over, I hope that Warcraftmovies will use a different method for their contest next time![Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! What you are about to see will amaze you. In what is shaping up to be the most intense Player vs. Player battle that WoW machinima has ever seen, two contestants are facing off for your vote. The Warcraftmovies Synergy contest entrants were given the choice of two (absolutely horrible) scripts, which they had to follow to the letter, but were allowed to add their own special touches to. The result is an epic fight to the death.Though there are indeed six entries, most votes are going to our main two contenders. In one corner, we have Martin Falch, responsible for the incredible feature-length film, Tales of the Past 3, which just crossed one million downloads in seven months! He chose to work with the script, The Best Kept Secret of the Horde. In the other corner we have the dream team of Baron Soosdon and Pinkhair, with help from Selserene, Olibith, Caruu, and Drewbie. Their chosen script was Busted. Only one contestant will go home with the $1500 USD Warcraftmovies contract.Voting ends on Thursday, July 31st and the winners will be announced the following day. Check out the videos and help decide on who will win in this tight race!

Baron Soosdon asked me to hold off on showing the last of his Worldwide Invitational machinima contest entries, Final Warcraft VI, until he "remastered" it. Apparently he fine tuned some things that he previously rushed on to meet the deadline. Of course, he had a little help from his friends -- Pinkhair, Caruu, and Mister "Don't forget me!" Drewbie. For all the Final Fantasy VI fans, this machinima closely follows the cinematic ending for the Playstation version.WARNING: Certain browsers are having crashing issues with this movie, so we moved it after the jump.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

While most of Baron Soosdon's entries into the 2008 Blizzard Worldwide Invitational were disqualified due to private server usage, he did manage to place second in the commercial part of the machinima contest. The BS-1337 Nuclear Rocket is part evil and part awesome at the same time. For the true villain in all of us, the rocket offers 9000 megatons of fun in a convenient package. During Blizzard's recent Worldwide Invitational in France, a World of Warcraft machinima contest took place. While Olibith swept most of the prizes, some of the non-winning videos were quite good. Baron Soosdon took second place in the commercial contest with his machinima of the BS-1337 Nuclear Rocket. Despite producing what many feel are music videos with no substance, Baron Soosdon has inspired many machinimators in the WoW community. One such player, Eagleshadow, decided to create a machinima, Lost in Dreams, after seeing the Unlimited Escapism series. Armed with only Sony Vegas 8 and Fraps, he did a great job for this being his first video! While not recommended on Warcraftmovies yet, we have a feeling that we'll be seeing much more from him in the future.[Thanks, Baron Soosdon!]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

What happens when you give a machinimator a camera and send them off to an event like Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational? They come back with a video report ... starring their avatar. Go figure!Despite the absence of a flesh and blood Baron Soosdon, it was interesting to see the convention from the eyes of a first-timer. If you look carefully at the part where he discusses the costumed girls, you'll see a real live Dopefish, though! Other coverage includes the Blizzard museum, dance and costume contests, and the closing ceremony. He wasn't able to capture the machinima contest because it literally lasted only a few minutes. In one of the most disappointing displays, Blizzard cited that they had run out of time with the other contests and only showed a few seconds of each winning video. We know that Olibith managed to win three prizes, though! If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

While there is no dialogue in this epic movie about beating the Scarlet Crusaders to a bloody pulp, you can expect plenty of action![Via #machinima on Quakenet IRC]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

In our daily quest for acceptable machinima to feature on WoW Moviewatch, it's very rare that we ever come across someone that we feel could end up as epic as Baron Soosdon, otherwise known as Rick Astley, Jr. Apein managed to start his path to greatness from his very first (and only!) video, Animal I Have Become. We haven't been this impressed with an up-and-comer since Lagspikefilm and Gnomechewer!Apein has some big shoes to fill, but he already has a blog, where he posts teaser shots of his work in progress, and knows to upload to Vimeo. We were also impressed that he was able to keep the aspect ratio intact throughout, not get excessive with Model Viewer, blend platforms, and not go super crazy with the effects. However, we do object to the heavy blurring and the random zooms in and out. That wasn't enough to distract us from the beauty of this music video, though.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

Before there was Nyhm, there was a guy, sk3uled, and his Avril Lavigne CD. What did he come up with? A parody video, Healer, to her song, Girlfriend. You can thank (or curse!) Baron Soosdon for this submission. At least it wasn't a Sir Mixalot Rickroll. The lyrics are probably the best thing about the video. The "singing" is monotone and the aspect ratio isn't consistent. Believe it or not, this is the better version. His previous attempt, made over a year ago, was recorded with a bad microphone and what looks like a bunch of pictures thrown into a slideshow program. If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

Continuing on our unintentional weekend of Baron Soosdon, we came across an older video of his that isn't a music video! Instead, it turned out to be an artistic "epic raid" video of two guilds, The Beastro and Beyond Oblivion, kicking buttocks pre-TBC. Blackwing Lair: The Last Ride weaves in battles with cut scenes containing plot elements combined with the sounds in-game. What interested me more was the camera that he used, which allowed him to get distance shots.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

Baron Soosdon is back again with another video. This time, he's slowed things down a bit, with Chilled Escapism. Though this is the seventh video in the Escapism series, it's much less intense than the others. Given that this is such a departure from his typical fare, Baron prepared a response (edited for content) in advance for the potential naysayers, 'OMFG NO! FFS, ANOTHER "PEOPLE WALKING"-VIDEO!!11 CAN'T YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE! FOR EXAMPLE SOMETHING WITH A PLOT??+++!!11.' We couldn't have said it better ourselves. 15 Minutes of Fame is our look at World of Warcraft players of all shapes and sizes – from the renowned to the relatively anonymous, the remarkable to the player next door. Tip us off to players you'd like to hear more about at 15minutesoffame (at) wowinsider (dot) com.Take a deep breath, everybody – that stale smell is just the whiff of a lame duck era. We'll be back in fresh air again soon. If you've been wondering what's left for you to accomplish between now and Wrath of the Lich King, we've got good news. As guilds begin taking down the infamous Kil'jaeden (the last boss of the Sunwell Plateau and final raid content available before the Wrath of the Lich King comes out) and a druid solos the hapless Onyxia, Tamzin is on your side. The creator of the madly popular tactical videos that have helped so many guilds master end-game raiding content, Tamzin wants to see as many players as possible experience juicy raid boss goodness. Her clean, classy and accurate videos have helped steer countless groups to success in content that might have blocked them in the absence of clear direction.15 Minutes of Fame recently conducted a week-long correspondence with Tamzin about her strategy guides, her own WoW habits and experience and her work in the movie and music industries. She had so much to say that we decided to give her not just 15 minutes but a whole half an hour – two installments -- of fame. Read the first part of our exclusive visit with Tamzin after the break, and be sure to click the screenshot here to link over to her most recent video, a guide to taking down Illidan.

We are only showcasing them as they pertain to WoW. As there are fans of all platforms here, we know that you will make your choice based on your own preference. In addition, despite the image on Olibith's video before you play it, it is harmless.)The World of Warcraft Bitfilm Festival nominees are really working hard for their votes! With just a little over a month left to vote, they've each created a video pleading their case. We previously wrote about their chance to win 1500 Euros earlier this month. The first one on the scene was Olibith, with a sentimental video about the contest, set to the Carpenters. Next up was Baron Soosdon, letting you know that if you don't vote for him, a "terrible curse" will fall upon you. (Please note that this machinima contains some harsh language. In addition, machinima.com is down at this moment, but you can find a higher quality stream of the video there.)In November, we spoke of a hybrid machinima movement that involved blending one engine with multiple tools in order to create a finished product. Baron Soosdon has been an early adopter of this, as he normally blends World of Warcraft with Unreal Tournament, as well as WoW Model and Map Viewers.Baron's latest project, Kake Buk Island: Episode 1 - "You Damn Beach" is a comedy adventure that is part action, part thriller, and part ... Rick Astley? The movie is about an orc that wakes up on an island and encounters two girls whose pig he must rescue from a sinister villain. While the voice acting is pretty horrible, the visual quality of the two mediums is excellent. We look forward to the sequel! If you have machinima or movie suggestions from any MMO, please send them to machinima AT massively DOT com, along with any information you might have about them.

Baron Soosdon has been threatening to make a plotline machinima for quite some time, so it's good to see that he followed through with it! Kake Buk Island: Episode 1 - "You Damn Beach" is about an orc, Thok, that wakes up on a strange island. While exploring the island, he befriends two girls, Noki and Jiki, that need his help rescuing their pig from the sinister gnome, Sergei Gnum. All is not as it seems on Kake Buk Island, but I guess we'll have to wait for Episode 2 to find out!KBI: YDB has an incredible line-up of special guests, including Drewbie, Olibith, and Baron himself, but I'm not sure what was up with some of the dialogue. Nevertheless, the cross-blend of World of Warcraft and Unreal Tournament 2004 made for a surreal set for Baron to weave his magic.
