A "Bullet For My Valentine" may sound like a really terrible gift for anyone that doesn't collect antique minié balls, but it's actually the name of next week's featured band over in Rock Band DLC world. The aptly named "Bullet For My Valentine Pack 01" features three songs spanning three albums, including 2008's Scream Aim Fire, which we're not entirely sure is an accurate or trustworthy set of instructions for properly operating a firearm. Remember kids, always consult your physician before taking advice from Welch heavy metal bands.

Toby Keith has an even stranger line dancing partner for Rock Band Wiikly than he did for the regular update a couple weeks back. Joining him for the Wii upload will be a Mr. Malmsteen, first name: Yngwie. Poor guitarists, prepare for blisters or lube those fingers up properly ... but not so much that the controller flies out of your hands and into the TV.Individual songs (200 Wii points apiece): "Beer for My Horses" -- Toby Keith "I Love This Bar" -- Toby Keith "She's a Hottie" -- Toby Keith "Should've Been a Cowboy" -- Toby Keith "Who's Your Daddy?" -- Toby Keith "How Do You Like Me Now" -- Toby Keith "Warriors of Time" -- Black Tide "Waking The Demon" -- Bullet For My Valentine "New Slang" -- The Shins "Caprici Di Diablo" -- Yngwie Malmsteen "Damnation Game" -- Yngwie Malmsteen "Red Devil" -- Yngwie Malmsteen All tracks are masters and will be available for download tomorrow, April 21. Videos are after the break.

There was some premature announculation with Rock Band Weekly this week. We received a release on Monday that Toby Keith was going solo with a six-pack for next week's DLC, but today we find out he'll be bringing some friends along. Well, we don't exactly see The Shins being BFF with Keith, but for the purposes of this post we imagine them all line dancing together.Toby Keith 6-Pack (800 / $10) "Beer for My Horses" (160 / $2) "I Love This Bar" (160 / $2) "She's a Hottie" (160 / $2) "Should've Been a Cowboy" (160 / $2) "Who's Your Daddy?" (160 / $2) "How Do You Like Me Now" (160 / $2) Individual Songs "Warriors of Time" -- Black Tide (160 / $2) "Waking The Demon" -- Bullet For My Valentine (160 / $2) "New Slang" -- The Shins (160 / $2) All tracks are masters and will be available for download next Tuesday and Thursday for Xbox 360 and PS3, respectively.

  • Rock Vault brings heavy metal merchandising

Officially licensed merchandise for twelve bands can be found at the new Rock Vault in Second Life. Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Funeral for a Friend, HIM, Kings of Leon, The Ramones, Trivium, Iron Maiden, Bullet for my Valentine, Nickelback, Stone Sour, and Cradle of Filth are the bands represented, though not every one of them has inworld shirts to buy. Whether there are inworld shirts or not (the price for all of them seems to be about L$150) each kiosk links to an online merchandise site where you can order the physical article. Don't go to to sleep quite yet, though. There's something much more interesting about this place than just selling tee-shirts -- thank heavens!
