The Range Rover line of vehicles commands a premium price. The British automaker is known for luxurious SUVs that are able to navigate the toughest terrain. That well-earned reputation includes all its vehicles -- even the entry-level Evoque, which has seen a slight design refresh and has received all the latest tech. The most intriguing is the new ClearSight Ground View that helps keep drivers from scraping the bottom of the Evoque while off-road.

For the last decade or so, Range Rover has built vehicles more akin to posh living rooms that occasionally go off-roading than the rough and tumble Land Rover Defender 90s of yesteryear. That trend continues with the 2020 Evoque, albeit with a number of innovations that will minimize its environmental impact when you decide to literally go over the fields and through the woods to Grandma's house this holiday.

Qualcomm's new offering called "Clear Sight" could put dual cameras in more Android phones. It's a single module that's already equipped with two rear cameras and low light imaging algorithms, after all, and phonemakers can simply slap it onto their devices instead of developing their own. It's more similar to Huawei P9's dual cams, co-engineered with Leica, than to the iPhone 7's in that Clear Sight is comprised of a black-and-white and a color image sensor. See, black-and-white sensors can take better images in low-lighting than color sensors can. So, the tech combines the B&W photo taken by one of the cameras with the colors captured by the other to get the best of both worlds.
