    Uber will deactivate riders with low ratings

    Rude behavior or leaving trash behind could get you booted from Uber. The company has added "ratings-based rider deactivations" to its safety policy. Users can now get kicked off the app if they develop a "significantly below average rating."

    Deep Silver deactivates 'Metro Exodus' keys stolen from a factory

    If you've been sold a code for post-apocalyptic adventure Metro Exodus, you might want to check where it came from. According to publisher Deep Silver, a number of keys have been stolen from the factory where physical key printing for the game had been taking place, before it became an Epic Games Store exclusive. In a post on Steam, the company explained that physical keys don't have the necessary files to run "as they were not meant to be released."

    Twitter contractor turned off Trump's account by 'mistake'

    Earlier this month, the @realDonaldTrump Twitter account disappeared for about eleven minutes, however, the company never revealed who the employee was that deactivated it. Now TechCrunch has talked to Bahtiyar Duysak, a 20-something contractor from Germany who now describes the event as a mistake. Duysak worked in customer support with the Trust & Safety division and says that towards the end of his final shift, an alert came in that someone had reported Trump's account. Although he put things in motion for it to be deactivated, he says he didn't expect for that to actually happen.

    It was pretty hard coming up with a title for this post. I did all sorts of horrible and appalling things to my iPhone this afternoon. However, swapping out the SIM and deactivating the iPhone was probably at the top of the list, so it won. Having the Scissors Sisters singing "I can't decide whether you should live or die" in the background was a fantastic inspiration for this exercise. And yes, the iPhone lives.
