Deviantart user allewund has created a set of 18 hand-crafted Wii-themed cursors for Windows XP, ready to make your PC experience as Wii-like as possible (ringy background music not included). We've got the pointy hand, the grabby hand, the open hand, the blue hand, a left-handed hand, and slanted versions of almost every one. Three of the cursors are animated, including the rotating blue ring as a loading cursor. To install, simply unzip and copy the folder to C:\Windows\Cursors, then head to the control panel under Mouse > Pointers and change each one individually. Download the cursors.

  • PSP Fan Art Fridays: Sly Cooper

Do you want to share your PSP-related fan art? Send us an e-mail. A new piece of fan art will be shared every Friday. In honor of the truly excellent announcement regarding Sly Cooper hitting PSP, we have this fan art of the thieving raccoon himself. This lovely and moody piece was done by Neyla. It features Sly thieving across Paris, as the bright shine of a full moon glistens in the background. Neyla says that she was trying to capture the Japanese version of Sly, which is slightly redesigned. If this fan art makes you excited to get your crook on, visit Neyla's deviantART page. She has done plenty of other great game fan art besides, so browsing her gallery should interest you. Either that, or let Neyla know what you think of the art in our comments section. %Gallery-3450%

  • TUAW Desktop of the Week

This week's Desktop of the Week may include a little Windows paraphernalia action, but don't let that distract you from some of the mod action that Flickr user dannyuncensored has going for his brand new black MacBook. First up is the wallpaper he's using - it appeared in a February rumor we ran of a possible Black iMac. The actual image was linked by TUAW reader Smitty, and is part of a wallpaper pack at - where else - deviantART. Here are the rest of the resources dannyuncensored is using in a handy list format: ShapeShifter theme: TenFive from InterfaceLIFT Byte Controller (free) for iTunes in the menubar MacBook icon from InterfaceLIFT Windows Vista icon for the Boot Camp partition created by dannyuncensored's friend (perhaps they would be willing to share it?) Statistics in the middle of desktop are, again, provided by Panic's popular Stattoo The clear Dock is provided by Unsanity's free ClearDock Dannyuncensored also included a nice touch with changing Photoshop's icon, though I have to admit that since installing the CS3 Web Premium suite (as well as After Effects CS3 which runs like butta'), the default 'periodic table of Adobe applications' branding philosophy has grown on me. If you'd like to see your unique, functional or otherwise interesting desktop featured in our TUAW Desktops of the Week series, check out past featured desktops as well as the original post for the rules and to get an idea of what we're looking for. Then, upload your desktop screenshot to our TUAW Desktops Flickr group. We'll feature one or more desktops each weekend, giving credit to the desktop owner, wallpaper creator and any apps featured in the screenshot (if available). Keep those desktops rolling in!

Do you want to share your PSP-related fan art? Send us an e-mail. A new piece of fan art will be shared every Friday.Seeing new info on the PSP rendition of PaRappa at Sony's Gamer's Day, makes this particular fan art even sweeter. This hippin' and hoppin' piece comes from illjules. Impressively made in the online Oekaki art program. I like the more realistic and 3D take on PaRappa, though I do worry that he might try to throw down if I got on his bad side. I'd take that chance though, just to see him work his magic in the club. Let illjules know what you think of this PaRappa fan art in the comments or go to her deviantArt account and see more of her colorful and beautiful art. %Gallery-3450%

Do you want to share your PSP-related fan art? Send us an e-mail. A new piece of fan art will be shared every Friday. With Rondo of Blood on it's way to our fair system, I thought it was time for some Castlevania fan art. This amazingly drawn and beautifully colored piece comes from Candra. It features Rondo's hero Richter Belmont. I can't even begin to imagine how long it took Candra to put all the detail in this fan art. I personally think this work is a good mix between an anime style like the new Castlevania titles, while still retaining the gothic nature of the old art style. If this work inspires you to see more of Candra's work (and it should), go check out her deviantART account.%Gallery-3450%

Do you want to share your PSP-related fan art? Send us an e-mail. A new piece of fan art will be shared every Friday. LocoRoco may be getting a bit old, but love for the title certainly hasn't diminished. With new demos constantly coming out as well, new fans are always coming into the fray. Because of this, I've chosen the above LocoRoco fan art that was made by Blackmago. I've always appreciated illustration that uses clay, and so that makes me doubly enjoy Blackmago's work. The image looks good enough to be official game art and Blackmago certainly captured the playful innocence of LocoRoco. Hit up his deviantART account to see his other amazing gaming influenced art. %Gallery-3450%

Do you want to share your PSP-related fan art? Send us an e-mail. A new piece of fan art will be shared every Friday. Ready At Dawn has been in the news a lot lately, but most PSP gamers still love them for their work on Daxter. This week's art depicts the various qualities of our hero. Wennichelle created this work and I'm not sure I've ever seen Daxter depicted any cuter. If Daxter looks good (and he does) there's probably a reason. Wennichelle has done many Daxter fan arts prior and I actually had a difficult time picking which one I wanted to use. If you like Daxter and/or the art above, go check out Wennichelle's Deviant Art account for more. Thanks for making such great fan art Wennichelle! %Gallery-3450%

Do you want to share your PSP-related fan art? Send us an e-mail. A new piece of fan art will be shared every Friday. Last week I asked for PSP-tan fan art since the internet barely has any PSP-tan representations. Luckily, neyLa came through and created this cute (or should I say kawaii) version of PSP-tan. neyLa did a good job of retaining the visual elements of the PSP while still making an adorable girl. Maybe if Sony used this PSP-tan as a mascot, they'd be #1 in sales. If you enjoy neyLa's art like I do, go check out her Deviant Art account and let her know what you think or just leave feedback in our comments section. I'd love to see more PSP-tans in the future, but if you have any PSP-related fan art, just send it our way. %Gallery-3450%

Do you want to share your PSP-related fan art? Send us an e-mail. A new piece of fan art will be shared every Friday. I've got a jonesing for more cowbell, but even more than that, I want more fan art. Luckily it's Fan Art Friday, so my needs for one of the two will be satisfied. This week we take a look at a Tekken related fan art that depicts Kazuya dealing with Heihachi the only way someone can. Paolo Diego is the creator of this fine work. I could totally picture something like this actually happening in a Tekken game. If you dig the art like I do, go check out Paolo's deviant art account. I'd write more about the piece, but it's sorta a tall work and I want it to fit on the main page for all to see. Thanks for the art Paolo! Feel free to let him know what you think and see us back here next Friday! %Gallery-3450%

  • Slow down! Speed painting Halo 3 commercial

Not 24 hours have passed since the Halo 3 commercial has been released and already fan art has surfaced. Rahll over at deviantART created the above masterpiece in about an hour and a half after being inspired by last night's Halo 3 commercial airing. This is one of my favorite scenes from the commercial where Master Chief throws down the force field grenade and BLAM! ... it gives me a tingly stomach. So, for all you competitive artistic types, can you do better? I'm a big sucker for Halo inspired artwork, so if you're up to a challenge then get out your Crayolas and create some Halo 3 inspired artwork. And if you do a good job, I just might do a follow up and recap the best fanboy artists, there work and maybe even be some personal blog linkage. [Via Digg]
