Famitsu has posted more screens and detailed descriptions of four of the character-centered minigames found in the crossover fighter Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom. No Servbots this time, but we'll go ahead and report on them anyway. In Ryu's game, you throw Hadokens at oncoming obstacles by shaking the remote as a gauge moves up and down. If you time it precisely, you can destroy the item in one shot. Lost Planet's PTX-40A's minigame is a vertically scrolling shooter in which you blow up Akrids. On the Tatsunoko side, Ken the Eagle's game is a four-player shooting gallery in which players compete to knock down all but the Yatterman and Chun-Li targets. And Tekkaman's game involves shaking the Wiimote rapidly to build up power for the launch of his SPACE LANCE!%Gallery-32421%

  • Tatsunoko vs. Capcom vs. anti-minigame prejudice

Everyone who dislikes or has disliked minigames in the past is now officially wrong. The latest issue of Famitsu shows off some more minigames found in the Wii version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes, including this one, "How Many Servbots," about ... counting Servbots. Nothing about Servbots can ever be bad. Thus minigames are redeemed forever.Other notable minigames include one about Alex throwing a car, Chun Li carving a Ryu statue out of rock by kicking it, and our favorite of the Tatsunoko characters' minigames, the one about polishing Gold Lightan. We might be less inclined to think all these minigames were awesome and fun if a) there weren't so many and b) they weren't attached as bonuses to a Capcom fighter.%Gallery-32421%

The big announcement at Capcom's Tatsunoko vs. Capcom stage event involved two new characters, one from each of the companies from which the cast of the game is drawn. On the Tatsunoko side, Jun the Swan from Gatchaman. On the Capcom side, Mega Man's sister, Roll! Strangely, this isn't Roll Caskett from Mega Man Legends, from whence this game's Mega Man originates; rather, this is the classic Roll. With her broom.1up's James Mielke took in a playable demo of the Wii version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes at TGS, and basically raved about it, saying that it "may just be the neo-2D fighter to beat in the upcoming months." He praises the admirable performance of the Classic Controller for the game, as well.%Gallery-32421%

Long hailed as one of the GBA's best puzzle titles, Kururin Paradise never landed on North American shores, preferring instead to limit its release to Japan. Play-Asia has taken pity on our Kururin-less souls, listing the 8ing-developed game at a dicount price of $9.90! This deal lasts until next Tuesday, so you'll have more than enough time to collect change on the sidewalk for this purchase. Pilot your spinning craft past the post break for a video preview of this simple-but-addictive game!

  • Naruto game announced ... but which one?

You might have to take some notes on this one, because it's a little complicated, especially since the games involved have very long, very similar names. Tomy and D3 Publisher have announced a new Naruto game called Naruto: Clash of Ninja MVZ, to be released on the Wii in the US with exclusive new content. However, exactly which Naruto game it is is somewhat of a mystery. The unruly (but perspicacious) NeoGAF horde thinks that it's not the Wii Naruto (Naruto Shippuden Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX) that just came out in Japan, but rather a port of the Gamecube Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 with some new characters, minigames, and, we would assume, new controls. But Gamespot is reporting that we're getting a version of EX with the animations and characters changed to reflect where the US localization of the anime is in the Naruto storyline. We don't exactly know what's going on. There will be a Naruto game of some kind on the Wii this fall, and the rest is obscured by ninja trickery, deployed in a successful attempt to confuse and disorient us.
