So the Arena Pass is upon us! And here in the EU (well, it's "here" for me, OK?), another gladiatorial competition has kicked off. Nakatoir announced on the EU PvP forums a few days ago that a Vengeful Gladiator Screenshot Competition had begun. What's that? Well, Blizzard is asking European PvPers to take some snaps of their characters duelling, doing Arenas or Battlegrounds, waiting for the aforementioned, or simply looking fierce. Captions, speech bubbles and the like in English are welcome, as is any editing of screenshots that you see fit to undertake. Once you've taken and edited your screenshots, submit them to fanart-contest-eu@blizzard.com with the subject header "[Arena] Character Name, Arena Team Name, Guild name." Put any caption in the message, and attach your screenshot. You don't have to put in the information in the subject header, but you need to if you want credit for the image. Blizzard's unlikely to recognize your character from the photo. No offense. The best screenshots selected by Blizzard will be proudly displayed on the Blizzard Facebook Page for everyone to enjoy. So get your Print Screen key warmed up and your creative minds buzzing, and send in some great screenshots. Fame and glory await you! And if you're wondering why the competition's called Vengeful Gladiator rather than Cataclysmic Gladiator, that's for Blizzard to know ... and you to speculate about.

We here at WoW Insider see every day just how many great artists are out there in the World of Warcraft community. We've interviewed them, we've written about them, and now we want to know if you're one of them so we can give you some sweet prizes. We have in our hands four prizes from SteelSeries to award the best and most creative artists in our audience. All that you need to do to enter is make us a piece of fanart. Draw (or paint or whatever it is you do) a picture of how you imagine the WoW Insider crew would look in the World of Warcraft. One of us, two of us, many of us, whatever you like. You don't get pictures of us to work off of, just let your imagination do as it will. Are we heroes fighting epic battles? Are we just lowly Stormwind commoners? Are we cute little beasts going on zany adventures? You have from this very moment (Noon of April 7th) until 11:59 PM Eastern on April 20th to send your submission to wowinsidercontests@gmail.com for a chance to win one of the following prizes from SteelSeries:

The Worldwide Invitational is more than just Blizzard strutting their stuff. They also have a few contests to let you strut your stuff. The latest announcement is... a Fan Art contest! They're asking for an exclusive piece of artwork from one of their Blizzard game franchises. They're asking that submissions be high definition JPG images, with a 1920x1200 resolution and no larger than 3 MB in size. I wear the world's largest dunce cap when it comes to this sort of art, so I am not sure if those are highly limiting requirements or not. Perhaps you can fill me in!Registration is being done online, and it is taking place between June 6th and June 16th. Blizzard has posted the full rules on EU website, so you can head that way if you're in the mood for some legalese. They've also posted the prizes, which I've tucked behind the cut.
