We know the Moral Kombat trailer isn't terribly new, but the weekly video spotlight isn't about what's new or even what's good. It's a place for us to highlight a video that we think needs to be seen, for whatever reason, be it silly or a little weird or dripping with extra awesome sauce. This week's video is none of those things, but it's worth discussing. The actual film sounds potentially interesting and not so one-sided. Sadly, the trailer ... not so much. It's Jack Thompson and Joe Lieberman with holy light brigade and their vision of a gamer-centric apocalypse, complete with desperate, melodramatic music. And the continual invocation of Columbine and September 11 as a product of video games is just sick-making.There's not much we can say on this subject that can be repeated in any sort of polite society, anywhere, so we're just gonna direct you to the video after the jump.

This week's featured video is all about stuff, and the DS lover in the video has a lot of it. Rows and rows of DS goodness. We didn't count, but the blurb claims 50 DS games are featured in this clip. But that surely can't be the best collection around, can it? How many DS games live on your shelf (or in your case, or on your floor ...)?

Since YouTube and the Wii are on the outs, looks like you won't be watching this overview of the Wii browser from the browser, but that's probably a good thing in the end for sanity purposes. But if you haven't downloaded the browser yet or -- the horror -- don't yet have a Wii, you can at least see what you're in for, because it's this week's Featured Friday Video. Happy Wii browser day!

A certain blogger may or may not have an extreme obsession with everything Castlevania (cue shifty eyes), but all that aside, there's nothing like a good ol' video review for a Friday afternoon. Especially when it's a review of Portrait of Ruin! Is this your weekend timesink or are you kicking back with another game? Don't forget to stop in and tell us what you're playing.

Where is Kororinpa? Sure, we're getting roly-poly blobs of mercury, but this is already out -- in Japan, that is. The Wii needs more marble-rolling action, and that's why this footage from Kororinpa is our Featured Friday Video. Watch it and shed a little tear for the game we don't have.

Unsurprisingly, they dig Mario in Italy. Think it's the mustache? But wherever you're from, the Wii launch is big news, even in beautiful Milan. Check out the video after the jump for lengthy footage from the launch in Northern Italy, complete with shots of people trying out the system ... from where we sit, it looks like amore.

The Reggienator may not be able to stay out of the gutter when it comes to the real world, but in the virtual world of Wii Sports, he will kick you in the face and talk about your momma. And don't even think about mentioning Wii60 to him. Despite the way the portmanteau rolls off the tongue, he ain't trying to hear that. When he's done stomping on you, Reggie is gonna go get your 360 and stomp that, too.Check out Reggie's bowling after the jump!

That's why today's featured video showcases two great tastes that make us drool together: FFVI and Gilgamesh. So how's the GBA port look and sound to you?

It may not be as beautiful as the box for the Japanese version of Final Fantasy III, but it definitely holds its own. Featuring art by famed Yoshitaka Amano, the remake of Final Fantasy V adds to the list of FF games released this Fall. The trend of re-releasing Final Fantasy titles on handheld systems has our mouths watering and our piggy banks practically burning a hole in our pockets. Now all we have to do is twiddle our thumbs and wait. [Via News 4 Gamers]

The Final Fantasy, much to our enjoyment, never ends. What started as a final attempt became an RPG icon. Final Fantasy has dominated for nearly 20 years now as new installments are released. Square Enix, in their attempts to reach every gamer possible, has made plans to re-release older titles on the GameBoy Advance. They have already released Final Fantasy I/II Dawn of Souls and Final Fantasy IV. Carrying on with the tradition, Final Fantasy V and VI are making their way into our homes. We have already shown you pictures, the web site and now we are offering you a promo video featuring lots and lots of words we can't read. This makes us a sad panda bear. Enjoy! As usual, see the video after the break. [Via Go Nintendo]

Final Fantasy. How is it that this series keeps popping up this fall? Are Square and Nintendo trying to kill us with FF propaganda and brainwash us so that we will never play another RPG, nor will we want to? We think the answer is yes. And to prove our point, here are some more Final Fantasy V Advance screens to continue the brainwashing. After all, it has already taken affect on us, if you couldn't already tell.
