We've seen an HDMI switch or two 'round here before but this is one of the first to promise full HDMI 1.3 compatibility. The DigiMedia HDMI switcher features a single HDMI-out with either 4 (HSG-401) or 2 (HSG-201) input configurations at cable runs of up to 10-meters. Unfortunately, it looks like you'll have to manually switch between sources unlike other autosensing HDMI switches we've seen. Fortunately, the included remote control will keep your azz firmly planted in the sofa. Hitting Japan in July, the HSG-401 will set you back ¥18,800 or about $152, the HSG-201 for just ¥13,800 or $112 -- not bad.[Via Impress]

The problem with adding an HDMI hub to your home entertainment system can be three-fold: the price, the extra cable required for power, and a new ugly slab cluttering the fine lines of your home theater. Not so with Evergreen's 2-port EG-HDMI201 HDMI switch. It switches two 1080p HDMI inputs for the decent price price of just ¥9,980 (about $82) -- and without an external power source. Better yet, it features a tiny infrared receiver slung off a 1.4-meter (4.6-foot) cable allowing you to hide the switch anywhere you like. Not too shabby, eh? So Evergreen, what's up with the 5V input jack then? [Via Impress]

In the grand scheme of things, having too many HDMI devices and not enough HDMI inputs is a problem most of us would love to have, but it's still good to know that there's companies like LINDY out there making dreams come true for the HD-obsessed. The company's new descriptively-named HDMI Switch Remote will give you three extra ports to connect HDMI or DVI sources (with an adapter) to your HDTV or projector, and it'll let you switch between them from the comfort of your couch with its handy remote control. Fully HDMI and HDCP-compliant, the unit should easily handle video up to 1080p and multi-channel audio, as well as resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 if you're using it with a DVI source. You can get one now, in the U.K. at least, for £149 (about $280 US).[Via Crowdedbrain]
