The Prince of F!@$#ng Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, has officially been announced as headlining the closing concert at BlizzCon this year. We've previously reported on this, both in the rumor mill and then from a DirecTV listing. The DirecTV listing has since been changed to remove any reference to Ozzy, however it appears they jumped the gun on the announcement initially. The press announcement of the closing concert, which was just released this morning, doesn't give many details of anything special that will happen. Other than "Ozzy will unleash a thunderous spectacle of rock to put the Lich King in his place and cement his own title as the one true Prince of Darkness." Morhaime goes on to say that "Many of us at Blizzard are lifelong fans of Ozzy's music, and we're thrilled that he'll be performing for all of our BlizzCon attendees..."So there you have it. Rumor confirmed! I wonder what else might be announced... WoW.com will let you know!Edit: Check out the Ozzy splash at the World of Warcraft Homepage.BlizzCon 2009 is coming up on August 21st and 22nd! We've got all the latest news and information. • "I Hate You, E3," declares Escapist writer

Okay, so maybe not hate completely. The eye-catching title of an essay from the latest installment of The Escapist puts the emphasis on the negative aspect of the love-hate relationship many industry vets have with E3, but there's surprisingly a lot of love for the trade show here, even if you don't subscribe to the hardened "I hate E3 because I love it" theory of convention devotion. While the Joystiq staff hasn't been to quite as many E3s as the founder of the International Game Journalists Association (IGJA), we can certainly empathize with the world-weariness that might accumulate after years of weeklong death- press-marches and working in overcrowded, sensory-overloaded spaces. We just hope our love of the game(s) will stay with us as it has for Mr. Thomas, whether we're watching from home or working the show floor in person in post-apocalyptic L.A. The parties will be sure to be awesome.See also: Joystiq at E3 2006 mega-site The Escapist's big E3 issue this week, with references within to Joystiq's Paris Hilton story and some E3 party pics orig. from Joystiq The Game of Journalism -- the IGJA's official web site

A code ninja by the name of Robert Daeley has answered the prayers of NetNewsWire users everywhere and created an AppleScript script with one simple (and essential) purpose in mind: sending the currently selected headline to a Mail.app message. Installation is simple, since there's no setup or editing needed; just grab the script from Daeley's Celsius1414 blog, toss it into your NNW scripts folder and start emailing away.I think I speak for a lot of NetNewsWire users when I say: thanks Robert Daeley!
