Remember that VK 650C that was supposedly headed for Helio, our new fav MVNO? Well, they're launching it, and it's called The KickFlip. Expect it to come bedecked with a 2-megapixel camera, 262k color QVGA display, "semi-auto" bi-directional swinging hinge, MicroSD, 70MB of flash memory, stereo speakers, and, of course, EV-DO. We'd let you know how much it costs and when it launches, but well, we don't really know yet ourselves. [Warning: PDF link]

Helio was determined to show everyone a little love today. So after months of keeping quiet, Helio finally decided to trot out its cutting-edge handsets. Their flagship phone, the Hero (which we had word on before regarding their spring launch), promises to deliver all the EV-DO multimedia you're gonna need. Created by Pantech, its the first high end device made by the Korean phone firm specifically for the US market. And as a special post-Valentine's day gift, Helio also announced an exclusive partnership with MySpace to load up its phones with a mobile-focused MySpace application that will let you keep in touch with your peeps no matter where you are. For now it's look but don't touch, but you should be able to get your mitts on one of these come spring.

So Telecoms Korea is reporting that Helio, the MVNO de rigueur formerly known as SK-Earthlink, is aiming to launch in March or April, and they're lining up hot Korean phones left and right, including a Pantech codenamed "Hero," VK's 650C (which we saw before), and a new Samsung handset (which would be something rather tasty from Korea, no doubt). One SK representative even made mention of adding WiFi to these Korean handsets so they bode better in the high-end American market. Oh, you tease![Thanks, AFD]
