The rumors were true: F.E.A.R. is coming to the Xbox 360. A scan from the contents page of a future edition of OXM reveals that the next issue will feature the first shots of "the most destructive shooter ever made" running on the Xbox 360. Now lets hope Monolith sweetens the deal by adding some extra content and improving the multiplayer mode, 'cause a clone of the PC game's multiplayer section just ain't gonna cut it on Xbox Live.[Via Xbox 360 Fanboy]

Not even Uwe Boll could destroy this franchise. Despite a long period of absence (abysmal theatrical run notwithstanding), 1up is reporting that Alone in the Dark will rear its head on next-generation consoles very soon. Not much is currently known about the title, except that you will reprise the role of Edward Carnby and investigate Central Park. The title is currently in development at Eden Studios. Said director David Naval, they hope to "challenge the feeling of security and make these elements horrific." Unfortunately, we have to wait for the new Electronic Gaming Monthly to know more. The previous installment, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, was released in 2001.

There's not much in the way of high definition thrillers yet, but Showtime's Masters of Horror series fills the spot well, even if some of the episodes are a bit campy. Our friends at TV Squad have let us know that the series will be returning for a second season, no word on which directors will do episodes yet.
