While we're still itching to handle its bigger (and more stylish) XL iteration, that hasn't stopped Nintendo rolling out the acid colors for two Asia-bound handhelds. The 3DS in Cerulean (the bright blue one) and Shimmer (the hot pink version) will hit stores in Hong Kong and Taiwan, accompanying the launch of the 3DS XL in September. No word from Nintendo so far on whether it'll follow the Aubergine-hued model to the US .

There aren't many products in the world that have been produce for so long that they bridged right from the "modern" to "ho-hum" to "retro chic" categories without ever pausing production (actually, the hula hoop is the only one that comes immediately to mind). A year ago, it was cool to hate on the debilitating age Motorola's original RAZR V3 and the fact that it was still being sold in countless shops and by countless carriers around the world; now, though, it's gone on so long that we've got to wonder whether there's some magical, hidden force at play here that will keep this phone on shelves and in hearts until the very end of time. Evidence of that certainly exists in the freshly-launched LuK Hot Pink edition, an apparent follow-on to the LuK launched back in February of this year with 7.2Mbps HSDPA, video call capability, Bluetooth, and that's about it. At a price under 500,000 won (about $400) on carrier SKT, it doesn't seem like a particularly good deal -- but then again, if you look at it as a perfect replica of a vintage collectible device, maybe it's a downright steal.

  • We never thought we'd see a hot pink, duct tape case ...

This case may be made out of duct tape (like some others we've seen before), but its hot pink color along with the dragonfly actually make it look rather nice. Who knew duct tape could be so stylish? Of course, you'd have to really love pink to rock this Etsy creation, but isn't pink supposed to be the new black these days? Or something. We don't really keep up with fashion at DS Fanboy, and knowing some of our taste preferences, you may want to try to avoid any fashion advice we give altogether.

  • Sansa Express gets the hot pink treatment

It looks like SanDisk has deemed its pink Sansa C250 enough of a success to extend the eye-catching paint job further on down the line, with its well-received Sansa Express now also getting a refresh of its own. Apart from its new attention-grabbing ability, however, the player appears to be otherwise unchanged, with it packing the same four-line OLED display, 1GB of storage, microSD expansion slot, and FM tuner as its less colorful brethren. It also comes in at exactly the same price, setting you back $60.
