While we cannot say we subscribe to Men's Health magazine, someone over at Infendo apparently does as they caught a mention of Nintendo's newest console in the "Ask the Girl Next Door" column of the most recent issue. Turns out, one reader is looking to get his girlfriend into gaming and upon asking how he can accomplish this task, receives the following response:"Calling her over to watch you pistol whip a hooker in GTA or solve the riddle of the moon druids in Myst IV is not the way. Maybe you should buy that new Nintendo system with the stupid name, Wii. It was designed to suck video-dissing women into the virtual world. Personally, I'm addicted to Rockstar's Table Tennis and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory."It's pretty easy to just name-check games, so we don't put much stock in her credibility as a gamer, however a mentioning of the Wii is easily accepted and encouraged.[Via Infendo]

Avid flickr user and mountain climber extraordinaire Rappateng recently had a buddy of his take some snapshots during their latest mountain-tackling adventure. A few of the snapshots are of great interest as Rappateng reports he took several breathers to throw down in some Mario Kart DS mid-climb. We can't condone such an activity as it presents several clear dangers. These include: Dropping the DS Lite to its doom Banging the DS Lite against a rock while trying to snake No Wi-Fi connection in nature Jealous friend could very well kill you with a rock, take your DS Lite, and leave you to rot under a pile of Poison Ivy We assume Rappateng's next adventure will include climbing some icy mountain in a foreign country, all in an attempt to make the most badass Christmas card ever.[Via Infendo]

  • Taking a look at Wii pricing

Infendo blogger Striegs does a good job of analyzing Nintendo's place in the current console race from a price perspective in his piece titled Evaluating the Worth of the Wii. In stating that Nintendo was smart to not reveal their price during the annual Nintendo press conference before E3, Striegs sees the company in the position to debut the Wii at a higher cost then some initially thought. With the earlier predictions of the console being priced between $150 and $199, to the now more widely-accepted $250 price tag due to Sony's announcement of its pricing for the PS3, it's obvious that Nintendo is in a much stronger position with their console than before E3 last week.

A tipster sent in some information on what he believes Nintendo's Wii pricing will look like to Infendo yesterday evening. The tip says that the prospective Wii customer would essentially get their Wii for free if they succeeded to purchase either 4 games for the console or 3 games for the console and an extra controller with the nunchuck attachment. Obviously, without official backup we have to assume this is all lies, but it would be an interesting way to "sell" the console and the proposed cost of $199.99 falls in line with current predictions of pricing.
