If you've seen the patch 4.1 PTR patch notes recently, one thing will probably jump out at you immediately. Namely, you can now buy honor points for justice points and vice versa, and you can also buy conquest points for valor points. Updated 4.1 patch notes for April 7, 2011 General Honor is now purchasable from the Justice Commodities Vendor at 250 Honor per 375 Justice. Justice is now purchasable from the Honor Commodities Vendor at 250 Justice per 375 Honor. Conquest is now purchasable from the Valor vendor at 250 Conquest per 250 Valor. source

  • Gold Capped: Patch 4.1 and Maelstrom Crystals

Every week, WoW Insider brings you Gold Capped, in which Basil "Euripides" Berntsen aims to show you how to make money on the auction house. Email Basil with your questions, comments, or hate mail! Is the sky falling? Will patch 4.1 herald the end of the high price for Maelstrom Crystals? The informal communication channels between auctioneers (sharing market analyses with each other in IRC and custom channels or tells in game and on gold blogs) have been abuzz with the frantic analysis that patch 4.1 will drive the price of Maelstroms down to ridiculously low amounts. Personally, I'm not sure I'd blindly buy that.

  • Valor point conversion, arena season 10 delayed until patch 4.2

With the news that we're not getting any raid content in patch 4.1, it makes sense that we won't see a new tier of gear anywhere else, but CM Zarhym confirmed it recently in another post: We won't see either arena season 10 or the conversion of existing valor points to justice points in patch 4.1. This, of course, makes sense. The new gear coming out of Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub won't be a completely new tier but will instead be item level 353, leaving the item level 359, 372, and 379 stuff coming out of the current raids as the supreme goal. With this in mind, bypassing raid content by making new valor point gear or a new level of arena gear would sort of throw game balance and content a bit out out of whack. Patch 4.2 will supposedly be on the PTR soon after patch 4.1 launches, so hopefully everyone chomping at the bit for a new arena season or new stuff to save up valor points for won't have to wait too long.

  • Patch 4.0.6 PTR: Justice point trade goods prices

Patch 4.0.6 will bring a new vendor who sells raw materials and resources in exchange for justice points. Many players now capped on justice points have been struggling with ways to spend them. Blizzard has added in these vendors as a kind of points dump for some extra resources, so you're not letting those points waste away into nothingness in your currency tab. Here is a current list of the resources sold and their justice point cost: 1 Hypnotic Dust 200 1 Greater Celestial Essence 800 1 Heavenly Shard 1,200 5 Savage Leather 750 20 Embersilk Cloth 2,500 20 Elementium Ore 2,000 Satchel of Freshly-Picked Herbs (20 random Cataclysm herbs) 3,000 Now, if you think these prices are high, remember that these items are not meant to be bought efficiently with justice points; rather, leftover justice points are supposed to be converting into a little extra in the materials department for you. So far, I think it's a pretty good price list, but I'd love to see Maelstrom Crystals on there for 4,000 points each, which would make some of the upper-end enchants easier. Darkseid asked: What is the deal with worgen females? Why do they seem to be taking Blizzard so long to get anything done with them?

  • Cataclysm: Justice and valor point drop rates revealed

Blizzard recently announced the justice and valor point amounts for all types of raid and heroic content for Cataclysm. Justice and valor points are replacing the current badge/emblem system, allowing players to purchase items and gear for points. When a new tier of raid content is launched, valor points become justice points, reducing the emblem clutter that had been so rampant in Wrath of the Lich King. Hit the jump for the official blue post.

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW Insider's daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today. Have we mentioned lately that we're positively getting our asses kicked by Cataclysm heroics? Emile asked: With flying in Azeroth coming up, we should be able to fly to those dancing trolls you can see when you fly from Darnassus to Moonglade (if I remember the right FP, I'm sure it's somewhere over Darkshore). Will those trolls still be there in Cataclysm? Yes, you'll be able to fly to Shatterspear Vale, where you can see the Shatterspear trolls joining the Horde and attacking the night elves, who've just had every single settlement in Darkshore obliterated by the cataclysm.
