When Sharm came out with the garrison-themed musical parody All About My Base, I figured it would only be a matter of time before we saw a machinima created for it, and I was right. Music video master Khayllys has done it again, creating another musical machinima that perfectly accompanies Sharm's music. Khayllys' work is always solid -- the video uses the new model and scenery of Warlords to full effect here. The only minor complaint I have is the choice of the camera-shaking effect in so many scenes. Used once or twice it's fine, but used in swift and repeated succession, it kind of gives me a headache. It's a minor complaint though, as I said, and the video itself is well worth the watch. If you like the machinima, be sure to hop over to Khayllys' Youtube channel for plenty more. • WoW Moviewatch: Talk Common to Me

It's not often that a song parody will actually make me laugh out loud, but Talk Common to Me managed to do the job pretty effectively at 40 seconds in. I do love well-written song parodies, and this one was done perfectly, performed flawlessly by Kavo, Letomi and Truff. The machinima was created by Khayllys, who is responsible for more than a few of my favorite films over the past couple of years. Clever and well sung music parodies aside, what I really enjoy about this particular video is that there's a mix of the old models and the new. Seeing them at times even side by side just highlights how much of an improvement the updates are -- the sheer amount of expressive emotion the new faces are capable of is pretty staggering. I can't wait to see the new models start showing up in more films as more machinima artists start getting a handle on them. If you like the video, be sure to check out Khayllys' Youtube channel for more. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! • WoW Moviewatch: Garrosh

What do you get when you mix World of Warcraft and Disney? Sheer madness, and the above video from SilverLetomi entitled Garrosh. Letomi is already well known for her singing, but here she manages to pull off something I never thought I'd hear and do a perfectly pleasing rendition of a goblin singing an ode of devotion to everyone's favorite Warchief. Well, the goblin's favorite Warchief. The Kor'kron's favorite Warchief? Look, someone had to have liked him at some point, right? Featuring a machinima created by Khayllys, Garrosh does a fine job pulling off a parody of one of my favorite Disney films with a Warcraft twist. The song and the Warchief fit together disturbingly well, which has me wondering what on earth took so long for someone to do it? Give it a watch, you won't be disappointed. And who knows, you might just have another dozen reasons to punch the Warchief in the face next reset. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Here's a list of names I bet many of you didn't expect to see any time soon. Ya I'm On It is a rap by Turel, featuring the Druidboyz and Gigi! The astounding video is by that incredible Khayllys, wrapping us all up in a return to that good old WoW rap feel. It's been a while and I'm glad to see the folks revisiting the well for a little while. While I'm not ready to see belf rap return it a full resurgence, I admit I felt a pang of nostalgia at seeing some of those old bold, joyfully-Horde vibes return. There was always a very strong sense of pride -- bot in the game, but also in faction -- that was put to music by these folks. Interested in the wide world of machinima? With an all-star cast of voice actors, and some spot-on animation, The Story of Eva Sarkhoff takes you through some of the game's most legendary events. While Scholomance (and its inhabitants) have changed of the years, it's always managed to latch onto our imagine and hearts. Inspired by The Legends of Stalvan, this is the video to watch during this fading Halloween season. Even if you've missed out on most of Hallow's End, The Story of Eva Sarkhoff is well worth your time. Interested in the wide world of machinima? After a rough day, Moo Like Tauren was exactly what the doctor ordered. I've not been so enthusiastic about a parody video since Ninja Raiders. I don't know if it's the incredible vocals by DarkPippi and EmberIsolte, or the pitch perfect animation by Khayllys, but this video is just incredibly awesome. If you watch only one machinima video this month, make it Moo Like Tauren. It's worth it. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Spoiler Warning: This video has spoilers. It's spoilerific. Not sure what went down in Tides of War? Or, perhaps you read the book, loved it, and are eager to see the events play out in beautiful machinima technicolor. Maybe you're just a lore fan. In any case, this video is the one for you. Khayllys spent over 3 months making this video. Between the action, narration, and general composition, it's easy to see where all that time went. Frankly, I've not been this excited about a single video for a while. Khayllys really knocked it out of the park with this video, and brought something thrilling back to the hobby. Seriously, take the time and watch it. Thanks to all the folks who sent this video in. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! • WoW Moviewatch: Bad Girls ft. Sindragosa

My choice musical genre is electronica, and as such, words can't describe my love for Mr. Voletron. Ever since I heard his first WoW remix, XT-002 - U R Bad Toys, I've been a big fan of his. With that said, I was quite pleased when I came across this music video for Mr. Voletron's Bad Girls remix. It had been a while since I'd heard the song, and hearing it again really brought back some nice memories from raiding Icecrown Citadel. If you've been raiding since The Burning Crusade, it might even take you back further than that. The video is by Khayllys, who you may already know for creating the machinima for Hunter, Night Elf ERP, and ZA. This particular video doesn't stray too far outside of Khaylly's usual visual style, using lots of soft edges, high color saturation, and blurred backgrounds. The editing matches the pace of the song really well, though, jumping around and creating an almost psychedelic effect that I really liked. Now if someone would just make a music video for Madness Will Consume You (one of my favorite Mr. Voletron tracks), I'd be really happy. Anyone? Maybe Paus? Interested in the wide world of machinima? • WoW Moviewatch: Hunter

Hunter by Sharm is kind of an odd critter. Originally created as an open collaboration, this video obviously features Sharm performing the vocals. And while the song has lingered around a while, it was lacking a video to go with it. Enter Khayllys, who took the song and matched it to some interesting animation. The final result is a curious departure from the kind of thing we usually see from Sharm. I definitely liked it, but I found myself a little confused by what was going on. Open collaborations tend to be an experiential thing, though, so getting caught up after that isn't incredibly helpful. Ultimately, I'm curious to see what you folks think of the final piece. • WoW Moviewatch: Lean Like a Forum Troll

Whoah, y'all. We haven't seen one of these in a long time. Could Lean Like a Forum Troll herald the return of belf rap? (Important note: Few belfs appear in this video, and none of them really rap. It's just what it's called.) I can't evaluate the music, really. I have the faint notion that I probably should recognize the song from ... somewhere ... but I couldn't place it. I get that it's a parody of Lean Like a Cholo, but that's not terribly informative to me. I definitely notice that it's Alliance-biased, instead of the inevitable Horde-flavor you usually get with rap parodies. So that's cool. The video's good stuff and the lyrics feel earnestly written; it was just slapped together because some words have the same number of syllables. All in all, it's nice to see some belf rap get back in the saddle. My hat's off to Xylan and Soulbound, with a solid nod to Khayllys for the machinima work. Interested in the wide world of machinima?
