Update: Apparently, this information only applies to Europe. The US release date is still September. At LCG today, Konami informed us that the upcoming Silent Hill: Homecoming has been delayed till November. The sixth game in the survival horror series was originally slated for a September release, but apparently the newly announced PC version will debut simultaneously with the console versions. From the looks of our hands-on impressions at E3, perhaps Konami could use the extra time to polish things up a bit.%Gallery-12896%

Click for high-resolution image. New screenshots just in, and well, they're all seemingly about the teamwork between Chris Redfield and Sheva, a new masked bad guy (seen in yesterday's trailer), and ... some gratuitous butt shots of Sheva. Oh, and somewhere in between all this, you'll see zombies. What's a Resident Evil game without zombies? There are more Resident Evil 5 images in the gallery.%Gallery-5254%

Click for high resolution image Konami has a new PSN title called GTi Club+. It's based off the 1996 arcade game that, perhaps, you might remember (read: we don't). But hey, if you do remember this racing title, then the following statement about the game boasting "all-new HD visuals and widely expanded gameplay elements" might hold a lot more meaning. For the tech savvy who like numbers, the game runs at 720p at 60fps and also support 5.1 sound with a remix of the original arcade's music by Atjazz. It also supports the PlayStation Eye, allowing users to keep watch over online opponents during play. Free Run, Arcade, and Bomb Tag are several of the modes mentioned in this new release. The game is set for release this November (for Europe at least). Update: Added a gallery with 20 new screenshots. Update 2: Trailer attached, after the break. %Gallery-30042%

Now that we think of it, we're sure you'd be holding a silly-looking expression on your face if you too were kicked in the stomach as hard as E Honda is. Poor guy, it just had to be Chun-Li too -- those legs are deadly. Catch the rest of the screens below.%Gallery-21874%

Download to PSP This new LocoRoco 2 "special movie" found on the official Japanese website shows us just how cute things on the PSP can be. The art direction looks about the same in this highly-anticipated sequel, along with some kawaii music that can get a little annoying if you listen to it more than once. The cute little blobs demonstrates some of their new skills here, such as swimming and biting. Stay for the end, which makes us wish there was a LocoRoco TV show.[Via NeoGAF]

Another games convention, another trailer for Resident Evil 5. Not that we're complaining, of course. It looks absolutely breathtaking, and we're glad it's coming ever-so-closer to release. Let's hope that Capcom doesn't reveal too much before the game actually comes out -- some of the most terrifying things about the franchise are the surprises they keep hidden away from us. The lid on Heavy Rain will be blown off this week at Leipzig Games Convention. To get you ready, check out this newly released interview from Gamereactor TV, taken after Sony's secret behind-closed-doors showing at E3 earlier this year. The interview doesn't reveal much: it shows the same screenshots that were leaked a few weeks ago, and all video footage is of the game's very early tech demonstration. It's interesting to see how confident Quantic Dream is about their upcoming project, saying games like Uncharted only managed to get "some" things right. Other than that, they promise that Heavy Rain has "no competitors."Working with Sony Computer Entertainment seems to be very beneficial for the team, especially because Sony has offered them a chance to create "the best game possible." He's definitely getting the hype engine revving ... and it won't be long until we can judge for ourselves whether or not the hype is warranted. [Thanks, shak h.!]

Portuguese developer Seed Studios announced on the popular gaming forum NeoGAF their next project: a PS3 game to be revealed at Leipzig Games Convention. The developer has previously worked on three DS games -- this would be their first foray into a current generation home console game. Considering their history, it seems likely that their new project will be a PSN game. But who knows? Maybe we'll be quite surprised. While nothing else is known about the game, we're glad to see more developers announcing new content for the PS3. At E3, surprise PSN games like Fat Princess caught the attention of gamers everywhere. We're hoping to unearth new gems at Leipzig as well.[Thanks, frankym!]

Leipzig Games Convention is only a few days away now, and Sony is making sure that their PS3 headliner, LittleBigPlanet, is the talk of the town. In fact, they've plastered a nearby building in the German town with the adorable characters of this PS3 exclusive. This massive display would be an eyesore if it were anything else -- but it's unlikely anyone with a heart would be able to resist the charm of the rainbow assortment of Sackboy and his pals.[Thanks, Gambit07!]

Discovered on the USK (the German equivalent of America's ESRB) is a brand new PS3 title coming from Sony Computer Entertainment: Savage Moon. Not much is known about this title except we can expect it to be a military strategy game. Considering it's published by SCE, expect it to be exclusively on PS3. The Leipzig Games Convention is just around the corner -- wouldn't that be a dandy place to make a few surprise announcements? Stay tuned.[Via NeoGAF]

  • David Reeves promises an announcement filled Leipzig

So let's be honest. Sony's E3 press conference, whilst exciting for PSP owners, was lacking anything particularly tasty for PS3 owners. Barring MAG, there wasn't anything there were weren't already expecting. Speaking to MCV, Sony Europe boss David Reeves has stated that this was a strategic decision. "We cannot tailor all our announcements to July," he says, adding that utilizing E3, the Leipzig Games Convention and the Tokyo Game Show allows them to spread their big announcements out, building hype as they go.With that said, Reeves promises that the Leipzig Games Convention next month will include some "blockbuster stuff." These announcements won't just be Euro-centric, but will also have a global impact. We already know that Heavy Rain is due to be shown off at the event, but the promise or more announcements has us intrigued. We look forward to finding out more next month.
